Thud when braking and accelerating
I've been noticing a decent thud feeling in the car when I brake or accelerate. Like the front end is shifting forward or something. I can feel weight of wither the front or rear moving for sure. I just replaced my front air strut with a new unit. I took apart the necessary parts to get the strut in and out and everything was tight. I replaced both sets of front lug nuts while I was at it. Brakes also look fine with plenty of life on the pads and rotors. I drove the car after and no thud. Now it's back so I'm not sure what it is. I thought maybe it was a broken engine of trans mount. I know that my front lower and upper ball joints are torn but they were not loose. I also know the day I drove the car home to NY from OK , both CV axles in the front were replaced. Maybe they didn't tighten something while doing the install? I didn't have a single problem driving the car for 1400 miles.

Double check the ball joints. Lift the front wheel, try to wiggle the tire vertically and horizontally while paying close attention to the ball joints. Fair chance you'll see some play in the lowers.

yup, had that happen to me after a bough a cheap control arm on rock auto. I heard a distinct thud sound after braking at high speeds. Then a week later ended up separating the ball joint from the control arm as it was held together very cheaply and poorly. Mind you this was on the highway as im slowing to a traffic light.

Any chance that you have camber/caster bolts installed? I heard of someone installing them and only one of the two notches were lined up. I imagine that this scenario could make a noise.

I don't know. I'll post pics when I do the tear down. I'm doing lower ball joints, upper control arms, motor mounts and front brakes.
