Price Difference Between The E320 & E500
Something interesting here: In Canada, the price difference between a current 2002 E320 and a 2002 E430 is approximately $7000.00. The only difference basically is a bigger enging and 8 cylinders.
Accorinding to the Mercedes Web Site (Austria's site) when converted the difference between a 2003 E320 and a 2003 E500 is appromately $25,000.00 CDN.
In other words, not a few thousand dollars more, but a hell of a lot more.
Based on my calculations with my dealer, we estimate the car to be $72000.00 CDN for an 2003 E320. I can't believe that an E500 would basically cost almost as much as an introductory S430 S Class.
Anyone who has any information or can verify this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean

The Price differences do not always carry over according to currency exchange rates.... if it did, the E 320 would be about $39,000 and the E 500 would be at about $55,000 in the U.S.
I say dont panic till your dealer gets an official price list.

My dealer says the difference between the E320 and E500 will be quite a big difference for sure...but again we'll have to wait till May 6th, when Canada's order guide arrives (supposedly)

$39K / $55K are appropriate prices in the US. The E320 is getting too expensive here (close to $50K base) due no doubt to enormous popularity, so cutting it back to $39K would be a good move. $55K is right about where the E430 is now, and is just above a BMW 540i. That's not too bad.

A C320 With Command and K2c would be the same price as an E? Highly doubtful to say the least ......
