Intermittent CD changer problems.

I have had my '08 w211 now for 6 months and have been enjoying it thoroughly. I am just now encountering my first "issue" with the vehicle. Thankfully it is nothing mechanical. My CD changer is starting to act up. It still loads and ejects fine but at any given time it will stop playing mid track. I will typically have to make it change to a different CD for it to begin playing again. Most recently it wouldn't read any of the loaded CD's. I had to reload all of them and it worked great for a few days, now it is randomly stopping again. I have the 6 disc CD changer that lifts up from the middle of the dash just above the ash tray. Is there a simple repair for this or am I looking at replacing it?

See attached bulletin if this is not your problem open unit in an attempt to clean internals. Worst case scenario replacement with remanufactured original part # 211870539080 or pricier 2118706189.

My w211 is constantly ejecting CD's everytime I open door. It quits down after some time. Even if the CD unit is off. I will review above 3 in hopes to shed some light.

edit: after looking at above, it looks like my CD changer is built into the head unit (its an 09 w 211)

It sounds like the bulletin title 82.XXX should be most pertinent to you, simply housing /unit is not attached right to the frame/console/car

I am still having my CD played constantly eject. I will try and remove the Command unit and see what it going on. That being said, I really am starting to like the COMAND unit in general, as it links right up with an old ipod I have
