I'm trying to install a new headunit in my E500 and the wires are not labeled in the car so I have no idea what wires got to what on the new harness. I checked the wiring diagram from my emanual but I don't understand it. Anyone have a simpler version?

There are two plugs the go into the command unit:

Large Plug: 1 yellow/red
2 brown
2 orange

Small Plug: 1 tan
1 clear
1 brown


Alpine unit harness:

Rear Left: Green, Green/Black
Front Left: White, White/Black
Front Right: Grey, Grey/Black
Rear Right: Violet, Violet/Black
Power: Red
Ground: Black

Just got off the phone with crutchfield, they told me the car has fiber optic cables and the wires would have to run back to the amp in the trunk. Not sure if this is worth it.

I am returning the headunit and ordered a Belkin bluetooth adapter. Not worth the hassle.
