2001 mercedes e320
Looking for a new 2003 mercedes e320 ac compressor replacement

I own 03 mercedes E320 base sedan 4 door 3199cc v6 with 3.2L engine.
My ac compressor wasn't cold, upon inspection, I found that the clutch for the compressor wasn't engaging.
It makes a noise like it's trying to, but it doesn't engage.
My friend suggests me just replace a new mercedes ac clutch, but it's price at local dealer shop shocked me.
Considering my origianl ac compressor has been used for 13 years ,I prefer to chose a complete aftermarket ac compressor online, which can save much money.
I find Buyautoparts has mercedes ac compressor for sale but it has poor rating on trustpilot.com. while Hexautoparts is Great.
So where to get 03 mercedes e320 ac compressor replacement ? Besides these two stores, any other recommendations ?
Thank you for your time.

Yes I recommend you do internet search first!

You will find compressors and all other parts by these and many others: getmercedesparts.com, AZ Autohaus, Pelican Parts, European Parts Specialists, Rock Auto Parts, eBay, Amazon etc.

I believe Denso was the supplier for the AC compressor for E320, at least it was for my 05. Why not buy a brand new one on RockAuto? It is not too expensive, in fact the reman is more expensive!

How did you figure out that the compressor clutch wasn't engaging? can you please explain in details? I am having the same issue on an 04.. but as far as I can tell by looking at the compressor... it seems to be turning. There is a tiny little pin in the middle.. that is not turning. Is that how you tell that the compressor is not engaging?

Thanks!
