MBWorld.org Forums - I need help determining the correct part number for a replacement Audio Gateway AGW

I have a 2005 E500 4Matic wagon, with the Harman Kardon LOGIC7 12 speaker system, navigation, CD changer. I need to replace my audio gateway (AGW), but I'm just not clear on the correct replacement part number, or if there are differences in the variations available to me. I've read through all of the threads, but I'm a little confused about the information I found.

I removed the audio gateway from my vehicle and have the part number from my unit, which is pictured below (A 211 827 46 42). I understand that I can replace my unit with one that bears the same part number, of course. I assume that if I were to replace it with the same part numbered unit, it's likely to be from the same generation, and likely to fail again. It is also my understanding that there have been a few amended releases of the same audio gateway, with each subsequent release replacing the prior (part list pictured below). I do need help selecting which of these I should seek out and if any are a better choice.

I was trying to locate one through the recycled car part directory, www.car-parts.com. I hope to find one local-ish, so I can potentially verify it's a working unit, or be able to return it to them if it's failed as well. It's a thorough directory usually, but they don't seem to list my part number, or any of the subsequent amended unit part numbers (screenshot of car-parts options pictured below). I've also been looking for local yards that have whole vehicles with LOGIC7 in case that particular yard hadn't listed the audio gateway from the whole vehicle in the directory. I could potentially remove and verify the part number myself, or at least assist with verifying it's the one that would work for my application, just need to know which part numbers work for me.
