Faulty SBC - compatible replacement E220 W211

Hello,
I have a E220 W211.006 (2004) 150hp Mercedes. VIN WDB2110061A581551 There is an issue with the SBC system and I want to replace it. The OEM code mine has written on it is A 005 431 33 12. I am looking for a second hand one, but I can't find and exact match. For an example I found: А 005 431 72 12, A 005 431 80 12 , A 005 431 81 12 and others.
I am looking to replace the part without the need to update the software.

Are these compatible numbers ?
Does anyone know if they will work if they are just replaced ?
Is there a list somewhere with interchangeable model numbers?

Thanks in advance!

Can't really help you, but someone else might. If you wanted to figure it out yourself, you probably need a copy of EPC/WIS. You can buy a knock off copy on eBay for around $6 in the US, not sure what it would be in your country. You just download it and install it on your computer. EPC would tell you what part number you need once you put in the VIN of your car. They remanufactured those parts so the replacements may have different part numbers. Sometimes parts were also updated with new part numbers so that's why you need EPC to figure it out. WIS would have the documentation on how to do the repair. It may still need to be coded even if you get the exact same part, you'd probably have to read the WIS to figure that out.

Not sure why 0054313312 is not listed but MB Xentry shows: 0054317912, 0054319692, 0084313812, and current 0094312612. See attachments.

Did you check with dealer if it's covered by warranty?

Be very careful doing that. I went that route and damn near bricked my computer. My housemate is much, much more computer savvy than I am and it took him over 3 hours to fix things. I was ready to just re-install Windows since I wouldn't have lost much and didn't want to **** with it anymore.

The extended warranty on the SBC is only for the US so it most likely doesn't apply to OP.

Thank you! Are these numbers for the EU market ? I'm not sure, but parts might have different numbers for USA/EU

That question goes to everybody - are the part numbers the same in USA/EU ?

I would think so, print query provided (post 3) is specific to your VIN.
