NEED ROOKIE ADVICE FROM M156 VETS
Comrades,
I recently found a 2007 E63 w 30,000 miles one owner. The car has never had any factory recalls replaced that I know of. I have read some pretty scary things about the head bolts, intake gaskets, tapets, lifters, camshaft, tension adjusters, etc on these cars. Would you guys suggest getting these head bolts or other known issues replaced immediately to prevent further damage or waiting and fixing it when it fails?
Lastly, Can you give me a heads up on how much these repairs you suggest would cost if done by an indy? Thanks!!

30.000 miles one owner...
Never touch a (well) running system!
You may only consider changing the tensioners to prevent the timing chain failing which can lead to serious damage.

If you want to be proactive, I would suggest you take care of the headbolts before they break off. Here is why, when they do break and the coolant mixes with the oil you will need to replace the lifters as well. Those little guys are expensive. Or you can do everything at once..... head bolts, lifters, camshafts and so on.
