05 E Series to be released next week (maybe)

According to MBUSA customer service, the gasoline powered 05 Es will be released to dealers next week. Also available "for order from the dealer" will be Moto's V600 and V710.

Just to put this in perspective, their customer service people are still saying they have no information on the 05 Es (except CDI) and they say the 2005 brochure has not yet been released.

Oh well, take this post for what it's worth. I'd like to think it's true. Been waiting for my wagon since April. A V710 (for Verizon) would be nice too.

Yea, I got one last week too. Can someone tell me why they call these Montvale people, "customer service?" And it took this sweet gal a day to get this information. At least she called back with an answer.

Showing in MB Chicago Inventory

I don't know whether they are actually really at Mercedes Benz Chicago, but if you go to their new inventory you see some 2005 E500's.

Maybe I completely misunderstood this thread, but I have seen upto 7 05, E500s at 2 different dealerships since last week, Herb Gordon Mercedes, MD and Richmond Mercedes, VA. The Richmond MB also has one with AMG sports pckg, very nice but no sunroof. They both have lots of e-class on their way.

I had seen no posts for 05 Es arriving, other than the CDIs. So, with the hope this info from MBUSA was more reliable than usual, I shared it with you all. The post was also intended to highlight the often incomplete or unreliable information available from MBUSA customer service. e.g. the fact they had no clue that 05 E Series brochures were already in the field, and had none themselves.

I share your sentiments 100%!!! Since I couldn't convince my dealer that the pricing and brochure for 05 was out 2 weeks ago, I actually had to go to them with 05 brochure I got from another dealership. It's a shame how incompetent they are. You ask for Premium package, and the next series of questions include: How about DVD Nav? Do you also want Harman Kardon? etc, etc, I mean, goodness, shouldn't the salesmen know the most basic contents of such a package? It's so frustrating that a buyer knows so much better than them. It's worse when you go to parts dept to get a quote of say, AMG package as a retrofit, or maybe ask for rear LED lights, one time they told me it's impossible to add. They are so clueless. For old time MB buyers, has it always been this way? Is this an MB evolution, revolution (definitely not resolution) or maybe extinction?

Unless they can successfully deal with their current labor crisis, who knows? Apparently their customers aren't the only ones to be impacted by their poor top management and policies.

It's amazing isn't it? One wonders how they (salespeople) put food on their tables at all. Of course I’m not referring to the salespeople who frequent our forum but only of those who face-to-face look at you like you have three heads when a question is asked! Selling at the highest level is helping.

'08 AM Vantage V8 - '03 E500
Just out of curiousity, when did the first '04 W211s appear at dealers? When we went shopping for our '03 E500 in early September '03, the dealer we bought from told us that the '04 models wouldn't be out until November '03. Were they jivin' me, so that I wouldn't think I was buying "last year's" model and would be willing to settle for less of a discount? The distinction between "'04" and "05" models seems arbitrary, given the few changes and the changes already made during the '04 run, but if '05 models are starting to appear in 7/04, I have to wonder when the first '04 models really started to appear.
