Question Q for SoFla members regarding car detailers

Does anyone take their car to get detailed regularly at any local shops? If so, could you post which ones?

Sometimes it's difficult to find the time to wash & detail the car myself (I have a 14 month old) so I'd like to be able to take it to a reputable detailer. We all know how careful you have to be with black cars, so I'm very picky about who touches it .

TIA!

I'm not in SoFla, so I can't recco any good people for you to see. What I will say is that even with limited time, you can still detail the car yourself with a quality sealant that will last you a long time and keep it looking good. A product like zaino or klasse would be good. Once you do the detail, then you can just wash whenever you have a chance over the next 6 months (that's how long both products will last). Once the 6 months is up you can reapply either.

I'm sure there are some good pros out there, but despite that, nobody will ever take better care of your car than you.

JMHO,

David.

Detailing your car doesn't take long. In fact it can become a rather enjoyable hobby. The problem with reading many of the detailing forums is that many of the posters become "neurotic" about what waxes/sealants to use and what is the appropriate techniques. Start off with a good quality wax/sealant and read the instructions. If it works out well for you then continue. If you feel as thought it becomed tedious then hire a professional detailer. There is great satisfaction doing this yourself as well as the knowledge only you would love your car and protect it's finish with the love it deserves. For further info check autopia website or ask around here at detailing forum. I personally use Klasse All in one and the Sealant glaze. Great stuff and should not take you more than a 1.5 hours the first time. Maintaing your detail job should not take more than 30 min. per week if you want. Let me know how it all turns out.
Best Regards

LOL, not much. It depends on what you want. Just a wash? wash and interior done. Or a wax, wax and interior etc... Let me know. I am actually conidering opening up my own detail company anyway. Btw, i use nothing but the best stuff, great quality microfiber towels and zaino to wax if you like.
