can i swap and go with battery module?
I am getting the big red battery light and says service required. I scanned the car and it said faulty battery control module. I unplugged it and right away seen the corrosion on the connector. Looking closer the module has a broken pin. I was able to half way make a pin just to make connection. It did work but it's not ideal. Can I just buy a used module off ebay with the same part number and plug it in and go?

I had a similar problem with my car. I just went to the local Junk yard and got one for $20. It was off a newer car and looked a little different but the connectors were the same. It works perfect. So a used module off ebay should be fine.

I had an error with SDS for the Battery Control Module (BCM) on our 2004 E320, and I bought a used one from ebay and installed with no problems and no programming required... I found one on ebay that was from same year e-class, and connectors were identical. Easy swap.
My trunk had a water leak, and I suspect the moisture caused the problem.
