Looking for a part, don't know the name
Hey friends,
I just got a 2009 E350 4matic, looks like on the roof, the antenna i believe, is missing its cover (see attached picture). I want to get the replacement part but I have no clue what it's called - antenna cover? I found some things online but I am not sure what exactly I need to purchase. If anyone could help that'd be awesome! Thanks in advance! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...7b0706825.jpeg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...62eaecd13.jpeg |

I saw that myself too, but Im not quite sure. Is that the right part? Is that little piece the only thing I need, or do I need anything additional?

That looks like the right part. If you want to just try to adhere the a cover on it, you might find something on eBay. My guess is the outer piece your eyes see, and the innards are not sold separately.

Thank you! The chip that I see, any idea if that is both radio and tele aid antenna or is it just for the teleaid?

ot1 Thanks for the reply! That'll help me with tracking the antenna parts. But yea, as far as radio goes, everything works flawless. HD broadcasting etc. I'm about to try the GPS tomorrow to see if that has any issues.

Hey guys, took me a while lol, but.... Got the part. Does anyone know how to install it? Looked over on youtube but couldnt find anything. My guess is I’d have to take the whole headliner down, which I am not sure i’ll be able to do myself, without damaging something. Does anyone know a tutorial on how to take the headliner down? Or, is there a way to expose the bolt from the inside without taking the whole thing down? Maybe just a piece in the back? Thanks a lot !!!

No need to remove headliner entirely carefully lower rear portion until you gain access to antenna, see line 29 in attachment.

Awesome. Thank so much! That should help. Looks like a solid project for someone like myself, but I’ll get down to it. Thanks again!
