Met my new neighbor just moved here from California. He needs to replace the windshield glass before his lease is up in several weeks. He may buy out the lease so he wants a good job done in case he does. He has heard the usual horror stories about scratching, poor fit, etc. City or near suburbs best but I didn't want to recommend Fletcher-Jones. Thanks in advance.

I went to my insurance agent for recommendations. A good agent should know the better installers. I think the PPG chain is pretty good. I used one in Glen Ellyn for my Audi. Took the guy about an hour and they did a great job. Remember to have them remove the city sticker off the old one!!
