I Have a 2003 W211 E320 everything is fine with the car except that it doesn't start sometimes the starter goes but the engine does not fire up and in the cluster a warning label comes up saying "battery convience features unavailable" after waiting for 20 to 25 mins it starts up n the check engine light comes in n after turning the car on/off 3 to 4 times gets rid of the check engine light so if anyone knows about this please let me know what's the issue thanks.
Pull up the bus voltage on the instrument cluster before you attempt to start the car. Monitor the voltage before, during, and after the starting attempt. The message you're receiving about battery convenience functions appears whenever the main bus voltage drops too low.
Switch to temperature display on the cluster. With the car on but without the engine running, hit the reset button 3 times. That will bring up the current voltage. When the voltage is below 11 volts you get the convenience disabled message. The standard stuff applies, bad battery, either the main or SBC aux battery, alternator or battery control module.
