Estate rear suspension feels floaty

I have a wagon with air suspension in the rear and I feel like the rear have a floating feeling especially when I run over a crack on the hwy. What needs to be addressed?

My guess is one or both of the shocks has given up the ghost. My wagon feels like it wants to skip over a whole lane when going over a bump. My left rear is shot. I plan on converting to conventional shock absorbers right after I win the lottery. Love the car too much to let her go.

My rear suspension still seems like it holds air and is a correct height. But after I park the wagon for about a month without starting it back up, the rear sags all the way down. Is that normal? If it was the rear air suspension that is faulty, is it the rear airmatic spring that needs to be replaces as in this link?

Could it be any other issue such as worn bushing of some sort? I am not too familiar with these cars like I am with BMW but I know for BMW when this happens it is the rear trailing arm bushing.

The the shock absorber and the air spring are two completely separate components. They can each fail independent of the other. The floaty ride is a symptom of a failed shock absorber. Your air spring could still be completely fine.

Sagging air suspension after a month of not driving it is completely normal.

Do you happen to have the part number for the rear shocks? For some reason I cannot find it for rear airmatic suspension or would it be the same part as a non airmatic?

It depends on your model and options. Use this.
