Playing DVD's while in motion
HI there......i am an owner of a 2004 E240.........i have been trying to get the DVD system to work while the vehicles is in motion, but have failed to do so.............any ideas

The best you can do is to do a search. There are plenty of posts regarding this. Also, please put into your signature where you are located. If its on the West Coast of US, you may be lucky to run into Steve. He can do it with his modified Star Diagnostic.... Good luck! |

Jim Laplant is known all around Atlanta. He is the electronic genius after working for local MB dealer for 10 years. He is booked by all the local MB dealers to do retrofits and upgrades for customers. Of course, we also want to welcome Steve to the East coast later in November, right?

I'm from Bahrain, its in the middle east. Isnt there a wire to buy or a software that would do the trick (dvd in motion)?? because i heard that for BMW, its just a wire you plug it in and it works. isnt there something similar to that for my E-240??

Take your car to your dealer, and talk to the guy who is responsible for the Star Diagnostic System. Ask him to do the following: 1. Menu “TV in Motion” is greyed out (German: TV während der Fart) 2. Activate the “Rear Seat Monitor” (even if it’s not installed) (German: Heckmonitore freigeben) 3. Then you will have access to the menu: “TV in motion”. Activate it. 4. Go to the menu: DVD-Region. If it’s EUROPE, change it to D (Germany) and back to Europe 5. Give the guy some pocket money Might work, and good luck! |

If you have a US spec comand head unit, then forget it... The US spec doesn't support DVD, BUT can support SAT radio. That is the difference between Euro and US spec.
