Hazard switch panel illumination on permanently.

Hazard switch panel illumination on permanently.
Hi everyone,
My E500 W211 hazard switch panel remains permanently illuminated, everything else goes off as normal but that entire panel remains illuminated.
I have left the car for several hours to give plenty of time to go to sleep, naturally, I'm concerned that if left for an extended period this will drain the battery.

I have tried a hard battery reset but to no avail, seen before? Any suggestions?

First check x30/4 condition if fine move on to UCP.

Many thanks for the detailed reply, I'm presuming for a right-hand drive it will be in the left footwell?
