Belt Squeel
Hi everyone! I have had a rather consistent noise coming from my engine bay for the past two months, would come and go away, until recently it has become constant. I will be taking it to the INDY tomorrow, but was curious if anyone would know what this could be, or have any ideas? I'm thinking it's either a pulley or the tensioner but was wondering if anyone has had a similar or exact noise and what their solution was. I will be sure to update the thread once I find out more from INDY. Thanks! (Below is the link to the quick video I recorded while out today)

There are two idler pulleys on the E350 and the idler pulley bearings do go bad after a while. It's an easy DIY job to replace them and they are readily available both online and at the dealer.

Pretty normal for the two pulleys and tensioner to go bad. I replaced both pulleys and tensioner/belt in the 60k range. You can get the gates kit on rockauto for about $162 or a little less after using the 5% off discount code that you can find on retailmenot. I think INA was oem for the pulleys but as they didn't last long and they only come with a one year warranty, Gates is also supposed to be good and the kit has a lifetime warranty. I replaced mine with a Continental kit, but they don't seem to carry that anymore. The thermostat is also a pretty common failure item and you have to remove the pulleys in order to replace that anyway. Be careful with the pulleys if you DIY, I think one of them has a washer behind the pulley and it won't line up right if you forget to put that back in.
