Front brake discs
Hi
Just had my car serviced. All fluids and filters.
The mechanic did tell me that I'll be due for new brake pads and rotors soon.
I've looked up on DBAs website (supplier here in Australia). See https://dba.com.au/products/catalogue/dba-part-finder/
and there are 3 different sizes for the front rotors. How do I tell which ones to buy? My E280 is a base model - no AMG or Sports. So I'm guessing the 295mm diameter ones.

Thank you!!
One thing I did notice. The front rotor is 295mm in diameter and the rear rotor is 300mm in diameter. Is this normal?
And do I also need to replace the wear sensors?

Yes. Wear sensors determine replacement upon inspection.Although e280 is not listed check here for compatible aftermarket entering MB part #s given: https://www.fcpeuro.com/Mercedes~Benz-parts/

Most of the time when you buy front brake pads like Akebono, they come with the sensors but others might not come with them.

I thought you only needed to replace them if the light telling you to replace the brake pads was on. As it was just the mechanic that told him to replace the brake pads, it sounds like the light isn't on yet. I believe what happens is that when they wear away, the contacts are broken and you get a light. If the contacts aren't worn away, you should be able to reuse them, but depending on how bad they are, they may be slightly worn away already, but not enough to break the contact.

So I've ordered new pads and rotors - front and rear. I feel I will get away with the old wear sensors, but time will tell.
If I did get new sensors, are they the same sensors for left and right? So front left and right the same, and rear left and right the same?

Those sensors are like $3 and they aren't on all 4 wheels.... I'm almost positive it was just 2 (1 F and 1 R). I'd just order them.

@konigstiger thanks! I looked up the parts but it appears some are unavailable. Would a kit like this be compatible with my model? Thank you for your help!

W211 E350 322mm disc swap to 330mm
Hi!
I have a W211 E350 Sport with 322mm front discs. All the local dealers have only 330mm discs available. Would that with there?
VIN: WDB2110561B049228
Thanks!
