2006 E320 CDI Fuel gauge not operating
Hello Forum,
Thanks in advance for replies. I recently picked up my 2nd 2006 CDI and the bumper to bumper rehab/recondition is underway. I have a fuel gauge that is not working. My guess is one of the two fuel sending units in the tank is toast. My question: How to test these units to find the inoperable one? I would prefer not to replace both.

Use scanner like iCarsoft, it'll show both sending units from the rear SAM.

Thanks for this. I've just started researching which maintenance tool to use. iCarsoft gets good reviews. I'm considering getting some version of STAR. Mind if I ask your experience?
