Issue with passenger mirror not moving after setting parking angle.

So my mirror was working fine, but it wasn’t pointing down in reverse. I saw in the manual how to set it, and did the procedure. However, after doing it, I cant move the mirror up and down, only left to right. And when I go in reverse, it moves, which as I mention, didn’t before. I don’t quite understand what the hell happened. Any Ideas? Below the procedure I followed:

Although it's in the manual, in several older threads, it's mentioned it's disabled for our year and a few others. I think it worked in some other years. The W212 has that feature also and it works fine. I think they didn't want to burn out the power mirror motor so they disabled it.

Yeah I know they did for some models, but my dad bought this car in 2008 (in canada) and it definitely did go down in reverse. I’ve followed the manual instructions and it worked, but it seems that it broke something since I can’t adjust the mirror up and down anymore. Do you know what could be broken? Or is it a computer issue, because the mirror worked just fine seconds before I tried setting the reverse option. Thanks

Well in the US it was disabled. You don't know how many times in IT I'd always hear that it worked fine before. Like that means it can never break. No idea though, the obvious is that the motor is broken which is why they disabled in the US so people wouldn't break their power mirror motors.

Have you tried resetting it multiple times until it clears. See attachments to check drive if multiple attempts fail.

Hello, Ive took it appart and installed the passenger motor on the driver side and it worked. Wiring on passenger side looks fine. How do you reset it? Edit : It moves now, but makes a very unpleasant noise here’s a video.

For future references, I have fixed this. Mirror did tilt after following instructions in the manual, but the motor was very used and tired and had trouble moving. Bought one new from FCP euro and now works like new. Very easy to replace.
