2005 pricing, is it cheaper than 2004?
HOWEVER, for the 05, MB must have changed the tuning of the car because there is NO gas guzzler tax (which was something like 1000 for 04, I believe).
I wonder, first does anyone really know how MB managed better mileage for the E500 w/ the same 7 speed Transmission? (it's something like 17/25 now vs. 16/24 for last year).
Let's assume that the base price for the 05 is about the same as 04, but since there's no gas guzzler tax, then it's effectively cheaper by about 1000. So then that may offset such things as the lack of Maintenance for the 05.
Please someone correct me if my figures are off since I don't have 2004 pricing available to me.
This is of course not including deals and other real life purchase prices that people are getting E500s for, just the MSRP values.

Don't take my word for it but i think the reason the 04's still had the gas guzzler tax was because they didn't complete the testing of the new 7spd in time, thats why the tax got removed for the 05's.
