Hi fellow mercers,
The car is running fine, no fault codes whatsoever. But I saw some oil leaks around the plugs and thought to replace the valve cover gaskets. I Started working on replacing the valve cover gaskets and discovered there is an oil leak around the surge tank connection. Can you tell me what is that and how do I fix it. I saw some videos talking about changing the gaskets for surge tank/ supercharger. I don't even know what that surge tank is for. (I am still new at this and I believe it doesn't suppose to have any oil in it). Please advice.
I have a 2k mile road trip coming up in two weeks.

Valve cover gaskets for sure! I had similar traces of oil. Please buy Mercedes Benz gaskets straightaway. I had to do the same job 3 times because I was a little stubborn. I tried Febi, then Viktor Reinz and then ended up with OE Mercedes gaskets.
This was my engine
Also seal up the breather chambers with the liquid gasket from Mercedes/Porsche
