2007 w211 e63 - p0016 p0017 - please help
i know there are many threads on related topics, but i haven't found anything that fits my situation. so any help is very much appreciated. I am not working on this myself but have a trusted independent shop, though I am getting the sense they may be a bit stumped. So here are the details:
2007 e53, ~67,000 miles
first issue was very rough idle and poor throttle response in low gear + check engine light
generic reader threw codes P0016, P0017, P0300, P0410, P228F
First trip to the shop - replaced camshaft adjusters, lifters, intake manifold gaskets, breather valve, injectors, spark plugs and coils
drove about 20 miles, check engine light on again (no noticeable rough idle)
Second trip to the shop - replaced camshaft adjuster solenoids
drove about 20 miles, rough idle at start intermittently, check engine light back on, occasional blue smoke from exhaust on start up, otherwise drives well at varying speed/rpm, throttle response good
I'm trying to figure out best next steps in order of cheapest first...
