Ac blows hot and engine tries to over heat.

I got a 2007 w211 e550 and my serpentine belt broke and I fixed that but after I fixed it I noticed that my ac just didn’t work and blew hot air on me even at max cool. My engine temperatures also spiked and I had to just turn it off till It could cool off. Does anyone know what’s happening.

You need to find out why your serpertine broke. In my case, my AC compressor seized up (no cooling) and broke my serpertine belt. Better check this first.

It sounds like the issues with your AC and engine overheating could be related to the serpentine belt installation or connected components. If the belt tension isn't correct, it may prevent the cooling fans or the water pump from operating efficiently, leading to inadequate engine cooling and causing the temperature to spike. Additionally, improper installation might affect the operation of the AC compressor, resulting in hot air blowing from the vents. It's also possible that during the belt replacement, a sensor or electrical connection was disturbed, which could interfere with the vehicle's cooling system and climate control modules. Ensuring that all components are properly aligned and connected is crucial for the optimal functioning of both the engine cooling and AC systems. I would recommend running a full system scan to accurately identify any underlying issues. There should be fault codes present in one or more control modules related to your symptoms. You will either need to take it to a mechanic, but if you want to figure this out yourself, then you will need to get a full system scanner. the youcanic full system scanner is very good at diagnosing all systems comprehensively, though there are other scan tools that can do this as well. Just be careful to use a full system scanner or you may scan the car and see no fault codes, as some basic scanners might not read all vehicle systems. I'm happy to help further if you have more questions!
