i got the dirtiest car in town!
and to think i bought pewter to replace 040 w210. whats the diff this winter?!

Hey fellow LI'ers! Gotta do what I do. Keep it in the garage! Easy for me since I have a company car! Took my car out today for the first time in 2 weeks. Did not want to get it dirty with all the muck and slush. Drove real slow down my block which is still kind of messy until I got on the main road. Went for some high speed runs over Robert Moses Causeway bridge and Ocean parkway. Pretty cool, almost the entire bay from one end of the bridge to the other is frozen 
Thought I could beat my record of 158 mph but to much damn traffic. Can you imagine, traffic on ocean pkwy. in Jan.!! 
This place is unreal. Best I could was 140 for only a brief time. I'm in Smithtown, how 'bout you.

I'm in Smithtown, how 'bout you.thats good area for hi speed runs, i have a friend who mentioned it too. i should get down that way when it dries up. i try to take my porsche out every few weeks but just wind up on NSP, so i cant really get up to those speeds. that baby's sitting this month. i'm in st. james. i will look for you out there!
btw, went to the car wash today! finally.

I think I may have been in the running for the dirtiest...with all the snow and sub-freezing weather in a row the Desert Silver, which normally hides the dirt well, was almost white! I can only imagine what the undercarriage looked like. Last night I had to scrub the headlights just so I could see. So yes, with temperatures lofting above the freezing mark, I committed heresy and went through the car wash on my way to the office this morning! Brushless (tried and true) but the car wash nevertheless!
When I came out kept staring at the car, couldn't believe it was the same one that went in!
