I think the coupe is beautiful, but it is such a shame about the small triangular section of window that spoils the 'pillarless' look. I wonder whether this was for structual safety, or just a design error.

Also interesting to note that the sunroof slides above now instead of under.
Those look wicked. The glass sliding over the roof seems a bit reminiscent of cheap sunroof hack jobs no?
Any pics of that M3 behind it?

The small windows at the back are to accomodate the fuel filler pipe on the right side--left side to match

Also, the pano roofs all slide over, not inside.

The first two coupes that I recently saw on the road struck me as being very unattractive. The front end styling, although immediately apparent as a Mercedes, doesn't quite work for me and the rear quarter panel is a styling disaster. My immediate reaction was "how ugly !". Yet, in many of the MB press photos, the car (with closed sunroof) appears to be very attractive.
The current CL, albeit a bit too "generic" looking considering what you're paying is so much more class, not only because of its status, but the design is much more relaxed and refined.

I liked the current gen CLK before the exterior facelift. Idk why, but from behind, I like the 03 - 05 CLKs way more than the 06+ ones. The facelifted ones look "fatter" from behind or something.
i agree that the small triangle in the back ruined the sleek look, i don't really like the back either......
or maybe i just jealous i only have the w209....hahahaha

That seat looks very unconfortable...... for a coupe, i rather the Audi A5 in and out much better...
You can definitely tell the interior is more C than E, and the times I did see it driving, the overall shape and demeanor of the car made me think it was a C at very first

)Figured that would come up !

the car is small like a C. REally looks like a C. It is built on a modified C-class chasis. It's more C than E.

Nice looking ride btw!
