Seat Memory question

Was wondering if there was a way that you just have to push the memory buttons one time for it to return to the desired position. It takes a while when you have to hold the button for a few seconds before it reaches the disired position.:nix:

Unfortunately, this is the only way. You have to press and hold.

It's a shame they couldn't have designed it better...but o well.

In my BMW it goes all the way with one press if the engine not is running otherwise you have to hold the button. Probably to prevent you from ending up in a retarded seat position while driving.

But you might get sandwiched between the steering wheel and the backrest which is not convenient even if the engine is not running. But this BMW implementation sounds like a reasonable compromise between safety and comfort. Anyway all MBs have always had it like this (the air bolsters are set from a quick press because that could not cause any danger).

It is ridiculous! Every car I've ever had w memory seats operate with one touch. I cannot see any reason to have to hold the button down while the car is stopped...

Getting crushed by activating my wife's one-touch setting in the Pathfinder has taught me otherwise. Holding the button makes sense to me.

+1

Its easy to stop by just reaching back at the button; if MB is the only manufacturer to do it this way then I have to say they need to change it...
