E Class Wagon and E Class Convertible - order now?
Since this seems to be the only thread for 2010 forward E Classes, hopefully some here can answer some questions about the new 2011 E 350 4Matic Wagon and 2011 E Convertible that are due to be arriving in dealer showrooms by June of this year. First, are any dealers taking European Delivery orders for either of these new models yet? Second, when can one safely plan for European Delivery to pick up one of these models? Would August be a safe bet? Third, are there standard equipment and option lists out to the dealers yet since production should be starting for the US models in March. Would love to see a pdf of standard equipment and option memos that may by now be circulating for the two cars and any color and interior listings. One of the questions I would appreciate confirmation on regarding the wagon is whether the 3rd set of seats will be standard and if not standard whether they will be an option. Thanks! The pictures I have seen of both of these vehicles have been impressive. The MBUSA website even has a photo of the E Class convertible with the top down. Has anyone been able to confirm one way or the other whether the rumors about a folding hardtop for the E Class convertible are still viable?

No hard top. Not too sure about the actual option lists, but as mentioned on that thread, the Cabriolet is getting more options than are available on the Sedan. Also of note, the red interior on the Cabriolet looks sharp, hope that makes it to U.S. spec cars and not the usual Euro only. |

E Wagons are in production already and can be built to your specs. I can research the euro delivery. Dealers have been allocated one e550 convert for February production. They also have the option of taking a wite e350 convert as a demonstrator car.

From what I hear, ordering will be opened to the dealers for the cabriolet in February. The wagon should be about the same time or perhaps a bit later.

Thanks. Welcome updates.

Having difficulty trying to order new E Class Wagon in Southern California
I've talked to three different dealers in Southern California and they all say they don't have a price sheet yet for ordering a 2011 E class Wagon with Sport trim, but they also say they are going to call me back in a few days and it never happens.
This has been going on for three weeks and I want to order the car for U.S. delivery as soon as possible. I've tried the fleet department, general sales, and I'm getting no where. Any suggestions on what to do? |
like the convertible but not the wagon

i saw the convertible last week when checking the status of my E350 order. Beautiful car but a soft top doesn't make sence in Seattle since most of the time the top would be up.
