Coming to my garage...
Looking forward to delivery of my new E350 Luxury Sedan next week. As many know, I will post a host of pictures and requested this thread as a Sticky... now lets see your ride in living color...:zoom:

Took delivery today of my E350 Luxury
Tansported from Denver to Las Vegas (800 miles)... picked up in Denver at noon yesterday and arrived here at 1:00 PM today. Filty dirty from the trip but still looked good. Shot some arrival shots and a couple in the garage tonight at 3200 ISO. More to come I am sure...

Did you use an SLR for your pictures cos I am really ashamed of my pictures, they look worse than a camera phone pictures. I must admit I used a 7 year old digital camera but you,lld still expect better quality than I got. |

Tinted the windows Friday...
I went with 35% on the front side windows and 30% on the back and rear sides. I had 20% on my C350 and had difficulty seeing traffic at night. The main thing is it cuts the UV exposure and helps to reduce the heat when parked.

Sadly this is not my car, found it for sale at a dealer in Sweden. The color is called DESIGNO MAGNO KASCHMIR WHITE and it's matte :). So far it's the coolest E-class I've seen, can't stop drooling over it! I posted it in the carbon fibre mirror thread too.

btw. Are you going to remap the engine? Yes I will probably put in a KCR or Promotech box.. At this point Promotech have no box for the 350 CDI blueefficiency ..but I guess it will not take long. I would prefer a OBD-tuning, but I dont know from where you can get it. |

Just picked up my E350 4MATIC this past weekend. Non-metallic black with Premium package, AMG sport package, gray leather, pano roof, multi-countour seat, rear camera.
I just received a set of smoked sidemarkers, which I will install soon. Also, 35% tint planned for all windows (except front). |

Yeah, they're smoked by a special type of Tint used for lights, etc. Got it done at a Tint/Vinyl Wrapping/Sticker Shop. :) |

Hi everyone
I m new to this. I have a E250 CDI W212. Can anyone tell me if they have noticed that the markings in the Tachometer only have 8 increments between each 1000 revs. Is this something other people have found strange or am I the only one. For conformation see your own car or see the picture. Perhaps this is how Mercedes get the great fuel economy. |

Hey guys... this was the first 2011 e550 in Alabama, I ordered it and I'm VERY happy with my order, I got it 3 days ago. It's Silver Palladium, black interior, AMG package, pano sunroof and rear spoiler... I love the the new 5 spoke wheels!!

My E and my buddies GTR posing next to each other. Taken by a crappy Cell Phone Camera, unfortunately. Hard to really get the gist in person (especially of the details of both design playing off of each other), but these two put on an absolutely stunning show when hanging out together.

I considered getting this done by having the trim pieces painted black but then heard the paint would eventually fade a bit. |

It's rare because it's not a popular color. Dealer down here had one and tried to sell it to me because nobody wanted it. He was discounting that one over 10k off MSRP.

Inner lights are an LED 'Crystal ball" type look. The inner lights on the P1 cars are reflectors, kinda a nasty look IMO.

Fresh off the truck, my new E550 4Matic. Window tint, debadged trunk, V8Biturbo badges, clear side markers. Trunk & roof spoilers going on this week, star lowering ASAP, & can't wait to throw some 20's on it for summer.
The one pic is beside my E55 that i had to let go :( and my 1969 280S. I threw on some Gislaved Nordfrost 5's...STUDDED! This thing could climb a cliff now, awesome for our winters. |

They are the Monarch Euro63RS wheels. the offsets are like 32 & 35...not even close to the W212, which are way higher.

What a beautiful car you have. Just placed an order for a E500 Cabrio with a delivery date projected for around the 16 April :-) It is fully loaded. I choose all the electronics that was available with this car ;-) At the moment I am driving the first generation of this paticular model that had it's world premier 11/01/2010. Before that I had the CLK 200 cabrio ;-) Here is a picture of my present car just after a wash and polish at my local car care firm ;-) |

Sorry, didn't mean to confuse you. I was just adding it to the picture thread. the last ime I posted on this thread, I had nothing but the wheels and the star grill.
Although I have recently posted a pic on previous threads, I thought I would update it here on the "picture thread.". Since the last picture I posted on this thread, I have added the chrome on the "B" pillar, tail lights, and chrome letters, "SPORT" on the right rear of trunk lid that match the E350 perfectly. I have also added the caliper covers and the "Avantgarde" fender badges. I don't remember if I had the chrome door handle guards on the first picture. I also have a few interior mods, but no interior pictures yet. Since you are on the forum quite a bit, you may have seen the recent mods on another thread. My last mods were the letters on the trunk lid and the custom decals to cover the ugly yellow and black factory decals on the sun visors. Sorry if I confused you my friend. |

Here is a picture of the H3 I traded for the E350. You should see a before pic of it. I don't want to continue taking up band width with non Mercedes pictures. My wife says I have a "chrome disease." She has tolerated it for 43 years. Please understand, I am not bragging nor complaining. I jsut cannot leave a vehicle original. Maybe it iis a disease. Hell, you should see my rain truck. I bought it to drive in the rain, to keep the others clean. It was a brand new 2010 Silverado WT model. That means it had nothing, no chrome, no options on the interior...NOTHING, but basic truck. As a matter of fact, it was nothing but red with black trim exterior. The next post will be a picture of it to show what it looks like today. I told my wife, "I can't drive an ugly truck." |

I have H&Rs lowering springs and have zero problems with them.
If money were not an issue, I would go with KW coilovers as they are a little more expensive. Whichever you choose, you won't regret it, and it will complete the car. |

Traded in the C63 for something more practical as a daily driver, pretty sad :mercy: but I'll make the best of it. 2012 Arctic White E350 with Sports Package.
2 days in my possession & so far I've tinted her with SolarGard 13% all around (Tint Connection, Costa Mesa) & had 6,000 Kelvin H7 35W Slim Ballast Kit + Capacitors & 2 Canbus T-10/194 5SMD Directional LEDs for the driving lights (HIDMasters, Huntington Beach). Also have bumper plugs ordered to cover up the ugly front plate holes & clear bumper lights via Ebay on the way. On the fence about the tint, I think it's a bit too dark. I had the same before on my C63, which was obsidian black, but for some reason it looks too dark for me on the white. I was saying that W212 has a low front profile may be as low as Jaguar did but this image demonstrated I was wrong , Jaguar was wayyy lower lol I like W212 styling better though , I like sharp iron trace & marks and ponton fenders a lot as well :naughty: K-A ,you have a great point too . Hello everybody. Recently purchased my E Class from our local dealer and picking it up on Wednesday 7th November. This is a E200 model and I couldn't be more happier with this beautiful, my first MB E-Class.

Is that a CGI or CDI? I have the same car in the same colour and its also a 200 but a CGI. You can find pictures of my car on the very first page of this thread. I have had it from new and it will be 3 years next month and it still turns heads in my little corner of Essex. I am going to keep it for another 5 years! Enjoy your car mate. |

Thought I'd update this thread with a cellphone photo of my E350. Love the car when its at night. Never realized that the size markers were that bright.. have to think about changing them to clear/black. |

My son did couple little mods to it today. He removed the dealers tax disc holder, dealers sticker which was on top of the rear window and little clean. Looks alot better with black, circular shame tax disc holder and without that ugly looking dealers sticker across the top of rear view window. Pics to follow soon :) :y |

Hey, I guess you could call this my introduction. I just picked up a 2013 E350, had it for about 2 months now and I couldn't be happier! This is my first MB, I came from the audi world and enjoy the euro scene. This is also my first brand new car that I've bought and I'm pretty glad I went with MB.

Thanks BM2BZ! I was very honestly considering getting a 2012 S4, then I just wasn't able to get the price that I wanted. I really didn't appreciate how overly aggressive they were at the dealer, knowing that I pulled in to the dealer with my current Audi. I just felt comfortable at MB and I've been eyeing the E350 in this body for quite some time. The 2013 just impressed me much more than the S4 and I went ahead and pulled the trigger!

Can anybody name the specs on the AMG wheels I have on? They look staggered based on the tire sizes, so I want to know how wide the rear wheels are and the offsets on all four. I have a set of iForged wheels from my audi and I'm trying to see if I can swap them over.

In the world of German cars, I've only ever owned BMW and Audis. I crossed the chasm last week and picked up a CPO 2011 E350 and absolutely love it. Not sure why I was against buying MB before :nix: -- the car is a comfortable ride and has got the neighbors commenting.
Spent some time on mbworld the last couple days and this is an awesome community! In result of lurking the forums, I have ordered an hid kit from theretrofitsource (mine is p1), LEDs from AznOptics, and clear side markers from ebay. Anyhow, just thought I'd throw out my first newbie hello world post and include a camera-phone photo of my E350 with her new family members: http://www.fujidog.com/mb/e350_driveway.jpg |

1. Once you've uploaded your photo to photobucket, go to the photobucket page where you can view your photo. 2. On the right hand side of the photobucket page containing your photo, you'll see an "Image Links" panel. Click in the field labeled "Direct Link" and it will automagically copy the photo URL to your computer's clipboard. 3. In the mbworld forum area where you type in your message, there is a toolbar above with an icon that looks like a mountain landscape. Click on it. Here's a screenshot of it, with the icon circled: http://www.fujidog.com/mb/mbworld_toolbar.png 4. A new dialog window will appear asking for the image URL. Paste the URL from step 2 into this field. ( on Mac, it's ⌘ + v / on Windows, it's ctrl + v ). Hope these steps work for you.

I had these wheels sitting in my garage collecting dust, so I bit the bullet & got them fixed (curb rash & bent), new tires, & H&R springs installed. Couldn't be happier. I went from feeling like "ehh" about my W212 and now I can't stop looking at it. Up next are painted side markers & a carbon fiber front lip. I'm debating on a roof spoiler. Apologies for the crappy iPhone pics.

Here's my 2011 E550 4matic I just picked up 12-29-12 with just under 11K on the clock. Great ride. Three weeks in, and loving it. Better pictures to follow.

lol, I'm such a child. I have a Yamaha VStar 950 and a Zuma 125 scooter as well. On Zuma forums, there was a thread about changing the final drive oil. It's kind of a tricky fill spot thats hard to get to. Anyhow, one guy posted that he just uses a turkey baster to put oil in his rear end. ...like I said, i guess I'm kind of childish. |

Here's a pic of the car on the rack getting aligned at West End Alignment in Gardena. Super nice & cool guys, asked me what I wanted done exactly, and even did the alignment with me in the car since I do a lot of solo commuting.

Everytime I see the Maya STM's I always wonder if its my original set that I sold off years ago haha! Had them on my Audi B6 in a staggered set up, which makes it interesting because i've interchanged MB wheels and Audi wheels for quite some time.

Thanks for the compliments. The old car is far from perfect - it is unrestored and has more than a little patina and quirks. But, it just keeps going, and probably gets as much attention as a Ferrari. Should look better soon when it is wearing OEM style tires.
I've had the car since I was 18. I find it more fun to drive than any modern car, even my previous C43 and E55 - something mellow yet involved about it, you have to work to go fast, but the car never gets excited. The big squashy seats are excellent, and the car is open and airy inside. Might be one reason I changed to the new car, it is also a laid back drive. Maybe I am past the point of wanting a somewhat rough monster of a car. No complaints yet - I am awaiting to see how the upcoming E250 diesel compares. |

I have had my car for 4 weeks now (e350 4matic, sport), finally have tint (30%) / wheels (et40) / and clear corners installed but haven't had time to really clean the car and take some nice pictures. Here is a quick cell phone picture that will work for now. I had ordered different wheels, the split spoke amg replicas in et35, but the wrong ones came. I decided to keep these though because I had some concerns on too aggressive of an offset without lowering and the ones that came were et40. They also gave me a discount to keep and overall match the grey very well. I was on the fence about lowering and think I'm going to keep it stock height. I know it would look better an inch lower but I've been really happy with the ride. Tires are 245s, wheels are 19s.

I admit I paid probably more than I should have for these but no one would break up a set of staggered wheels for me so I just went ahead with these. I called oemwheelsplus and a few other places. Not sure I'll get more pictures till later this week... busy and raining today! |

I have tinted the windows, installed a 12" Rockford Fosgate P2 with mono amp, a bass knob in the front for adjustments, a direct wire with mute for my Escort 9500ix Radar detector, the trunk spoiler, hood ornament delete, clear side markers with smoke tint and HID conversion with Moritomo kit. I am still debating on the grill.

Lots of car importers do buy 1~3 years used cars from U.S. and sell them here in Taiwan. For car like E350 between 2010~2012 MY. The retail prices are between USD:60,000 ~ 92,000 |
German cars in taiwan typically sells for 2x or more what they sell for in USA even with fewer features. I have friends in Taiwan that sometimes send me $$ to buy them a german car in the US, drive it for a couple of years, then they arrange to get it shipped back to Taiwan. Even with shipping, customs and various fees, they still come out ahead.
For example a BMW 5 series that sold for about $60k in US (with tax), equivalent car in Taiwan would've been around $120k to $130k US. With shipping and customs, my friend ended up paying about $80k US for the 530i. Saved her about $50k USD. There is significant customs/tax for current model year vehicles, if you wait a couple of years, customs drops significantly. Ok back on topic, here's a few pics of my new 2013 E350 Sport wagon, picked it up almost 2 months ago. Stunning Wagon. The S212 is perhaps the nicest Wagon I've ever seen. Looks better/sleeker/more cohesive than the Sedan even, and I am NOT a Wagon guy in the least.

I am lowered on vogltland springs and running 20x9 offset 35 on 245/35 and 20x10.5 offset 41 on 275/30. The rear setup fits nicely with no rubbing issues whatsoever. The front on the other hand rubs slightly on turns against the inner plastic fender liner. I could've went with a 30 series up front to avoid the rubbing against the liner but being it's a 4matic I wanted to keep the same rolling diameter.

Just wanted to post some pics of my current progress of mods. I have been following these forums for a while and it helped me select some tasteful modifications for my E Class. So far i did some staggered wheels, Canbus hid's, Led side markers, and BT Audio. Feel free to critique :D |

Hey jdhoang or anyone else, does the new 2014 E550 have standard leather-wrapped dash (hard to tell from pics)? Also, does it have Airmatic and how does it drive?

cquared: the dashboard surface does not appear to be leather. Leather is in the door panel (white surface on door). However, my interior is the Porcelain/Black leather option but I'm not sure which of the black surface is leather. Will check car and let you know later.
Airmatic is now an option which I didn't order, so sorry, can't tell you how that drives. |
So the dashboard is just plain plastic? I'm asking this, because the 2013 E class have leather or artico dashboard. Why did you not order airmatic? I bought the E550 because it had airmatic standard.

i believe in Canada airmatic is standard on the 2014 e550...the car drives fantastically and has lots of smooth power..

Whoa, interesting wood grain. I'm not a fan of the "exposed" wood look as it gives it an unfinished vibe, but must admit your interior looks far richer and more "natural" than the average W212 because of it. Gives off an aura of unprocessed, authenticity. Interesting.

I like the wood. No shiny lamination that gets those faint scratches over time. Reminds me of something in an old car (my fintail has natural looking wood, similar to on furniture).

Thanks KA, I first saw this type of wood when we were looking at the Audi A6. First impression on the Audi wood was mixed, but there's something about the Mercedes wood that's different. Audi's was too busy and there was too much of a contrast in the grain. Super stoked though, it does look great against the black leather. |

Not too much done so far, waiting for the stock tires to need replacing before I move up to 19's. Then probably paint the interior of the grille black and the interior of the hood star black, vinyl up the chrome window trim and then.. done.. maybe :)

Thanks. Yea I've been debating shaving the badges. Not sure if I'll remove the chrome trim from the doors or have them wrapped in vinyl. I've only seen them removed so curious what they'd look like. How hard are they to remove, are they just stuck on so will a hair dryer and floss do it or is there more to it then that?

The lights work fine..it's just plasti dipped them, I painted the grill tail lights reflectors. I put laser Jammers in .all I'm missing now is some cheap run flat tires

Bought a new 525i in 1992 drove it for 158,000 miles, switched to larger family SUV then bought 2001 740il Sport loved this car probably one of best cars ever owned, then downsized to 2004 545i Sport which was fast and nimble but had transmission issues just over 100,000 miles then went for 2009 550i Sport , loved the car but needed more room and 4 wheel drive and always loved the MB Wagons, found nice 2013 Certified Sport Wagon with just over 10,000miles with the options I was looking for ( except no ventilated / massage seats which I would have loved to have) Love the Wagon and want to make some minor mods to make it look like the Euro Estates … Will look for nice set of 19" wheels to match the the black on the silver car. ADV1 Concave's are on my wish list but maybe a little bit too much for the budget… any ideas?

No you're in the right spot - that's the point. You have a non-AMG car with an AMG sport aero-package. BUT - you didn't put an AMG badge on your car either.

Received my RevoZport E63 Rear Difusser for my wagon and its a perfect fit on the E350 AMG Sport Wagon…. Pictures don't do it justice as there is much more depth in the fins than pictures indicate…. probably want to change the exhaust tips but think it actually looks much better than what I expected it to look like with stock exhaust…. your thoughts ????

i think it looks awesome! what kind of exhaust tips are you thinking of? AMG style quad tips with AMG lettering? (i have those on a sedan) there are some tightazz AMG patrols here in the forum, so you gotta be mentally prepared before using any AMG look-alike parts/accessories... or they come out and bite you, and will never let go... :zoom: |

AMG Patrol here. I've been to the factory and didn't notice any AMG badges on non-AMG cars. Any evidence of these coming from the factory and not applied by dealers? I could see it being popular in countries that trade in knockoff style goods...

No, you need to prove your claims, you made em. Show evidence of AMG-badged non-AMG cars being unloaded at port, or off the transporter at the dealers you visited. Show us, prove it. Ante up. I personally have never seen AMG Badges on a non AMG car come from the factory. The only time I see this occurring is when dealers do it or owners. Dealers buy them in bulk and slap them on the car in order to help with a sale.

Here are some better side by side. The ones I took earlier in the day while parked nose to nose did not turn out well. I never really liked the new front grill 100% till I saw them side by side like this. I do admit I miss seeing the "star" on the front while driving and it does look a little more luxurious having it, but the new front grills look great too.
