Sat Radio

Hi,

I was wondering is the Sat Radio still free for the 1st year? In my CLS63 AMG it was, but I am not sure if that is the case with my 2010 E550 as I have not had a chance to call to subscribe.

The free period is 6 months and includes Real Time Traffic if you have NAV. Real Time Traffic is $3.99 a month or $48 for the year I think after the 6 months.

Do you need to subscribe to the radio in order to order Real Time Traffic. or can I get Traffic by itself?

The NAV has RTT free for the life of the car, this is a different RTT service than the one offered by Sirius. I for one do not renew my Sirius after the 6 month period runs out. If it had XM I would, but the interface is far too infuriating for me. Why it takes 2-3 seconds to change a station is beyond me, my wife's ESV changes stations instantly just like regular fm. Sirius also has major service issues here on the north shore of LI.

Thanks for that info. I have to read the COMAND manual for the 2010 NAV. I did not realize the RTT was a part of the NAV system.
