What interior color is the best?
I just purchased 2010 E350 4matic with Premium 2, parktronic, wood steering wheel, with luxury package. This car is for my wife and we traded in her 07 x5 4.8i. She tends like BMW before but after I got 2008 S550, she says" I like mercedes ride, so smooth much better ride". So we ended up with new E class. Anyway, we ordered White/ with black interior, but I am not sure about the interior color. Since a lot of white cars have brown leather inside.
I need some advise. For reference, I have silver/black for s550 which I like it alot, but we don't want to have another silver and my wife always like white color. Her X5 was white with tabbaco leather which I didn't like the leather color much.
Thank you in advance.

I very much like the monochrome look that white/black gives you. And since it's for your wife I also think the black interior is the best. I think the brown leather is more whiskey and a cigar in a chesterfield chair...

Other than the light tan there is no brown interior available unless something has changed since I had ordered mine last Oct. I would suggest staying with leather though. The best interior is what pleases you.

White/Black is a nice combo..specially with the burl walnut wood trim..just amazing !
If your choice is very limited in choosing an interior color or you didn't like the existing ones, you always can go for Designo. However, this will cost you more.
For me, I've ordered an Obsidian Black exterior with a Designo Mystic Red interior. A combo that you don't see everyday

Chestnut brown is my vote. Did not become available to order until my car was already in production. It is a $300 option that for some reason only shows up on the dealer order screen, like the heated steering wheel and cuprite brown paint.

Agreed. That's the only combo I can own a Benz in. If I ever were to want a 212, a Sport model would be a deal breaker due to the monochrome, boring (IMO) all Black look. The white A-Pillar/Roof with Black everything else is purely classy and classic, perfect for a Luxury Car Benz. Also the Burl wood makes it extra rich, I'm not big on the dark wood so much.

My preference with white is the beige interior. Of course I would then recommend a set of all-season floor mats to protect the carpets. Take a look at the website as you can see pics of each interior. The almond/mocha interior is great with the white on the Luxury sedan. You will love the ride of this car. Good Luck

Thanks for the replies
Well,
We went to the dealer and saw a beige interior. Then my wife really loved the beige color. I told her that coke, coffee and other stuff from baby will be spill all over in the rear seat and car will look dirty. But she said she will clean it every week. So We changed the order, still going to pick up on Tuesday.
Since it is luxury pack with white exterior, I think it will look pretty for wife's car.

I am not a big fan of all weahter mat since I like the feel of carpet from facotry mat.

Considering the weather in the NE, the rubber mats, at least for the winter are best. Weathertech actually makes the MB mats so you could go with either. If you like the carpeted mats, you could always get a set of the factory mats in black. Good luck

I guess I'm too late, since you ordered but I was going to vote for black, or if brown a dark brown (like Cocoa). Beige gets grungy. Here's a pic of my white/cocoa. Hides coffee great!

Nothings more elegant than an all black exterior and an interior is no different. Only problem is a black interior is as hard to keep clean as a black exterior.

I have just ordred a 550 obsidian black ext. Chestnut brown int. I can still change my order (not yet allocated in fabrication). Do you (or anyone else) have picts to post so that I can know that this is better than the black int. I'm still think about?

I was contemplating getting a white with black interior with black ash wood interior. It's a great looking combo.
I would have bought it but at the last moment I chose the Black/Black and am happy with it.
You can't go wrong with the black interior either way.
Oh and make sure the wood is the black ash as it looks great.

Every E-Class Luxury Sedan comes with Burl walnut wood trim. Every E-Class Sport Sedan comes with Black Ash wood trim. No exception no matter what color the interior or exterior is the above rule applies.
So if you want the sport version it will always have Black Ash Wood so I assume you got a sport edition version.

Actually I've seen plenty of W212 Sports with Walnut trim. I think that rule applied to the W211's only.
I personally could only do the walnut, much more rich and contrasting than the ash wood.

Newbie to site.
I am looking to find out if I get a 2010 E550 with the Chestnut Brwon interior, does the center console arm rest come in the same chestnut brown or does it stay black. The dealer said it would be brown, but all the photos I see, have it in black. Can anyone help with this newbie question?

I stand corrected as I guess I never noticed that two tone interior both MB tex and leather allow you to select either black ash wood or burl walnut on either Sport or Luxury versions.
As I was looking at a black/black when I asked about it I was told black ash wood was only offered on the sports models which do not offer wood steering wheel or shift *** because they are not offered in black ash wood and only burl walnut wood, I assumed the dealer meant that was the case on all E-Class sedans and not just on ones with black interiors.

Out of curiosity, do 212 SPORTS ever come with the 2 tone, white roof/a-pillar lining and black bottom half? It would be a shame if not, most luxurious combo for a Benz IMO. I know the 212 Luxury's do.

I think the chestnut/black interior with burl walnut would look fabulous with black exterior.

Not in the US, Sport has Black headliner only. I thought I would dislike the dark headliner in my E-Class since my C and my previous E350 both had Grey headliners with Black interiors, but I actually like the black headliner. The Pano roof and Sahara Beige two-tone help break up the black though in the interior of my E550.

The two-tone Almond Beige/Black and Grey/Black interiors have center armrests in those respective colors. The Natural Beige and Chestnut Brown two-tone interiors always have Black armrests.

However, I think that's only due to the 2 tone with my Almond as well, as the all black 212 interiors always lacked something to me, due to lack of contrast, but some people love that look, so at least we all get something (almost, would be nice if it had a White headliner Option anyway, just for comparisons sake at least.
