hey man... i really dont mind.... ill see what i can do tommorrow, BUT what I can say is that 6000k lightbulb should be one specific color and 8000k should be another specific color.... there should be very little variation....

Thank you! Haha. And okay. It was just that in some websites, it was a darker shade, and in others, it was lighter. So it was hard to compare 6000k to 8000k.

It should be white. Sometimes mine have a hint of blue and sometimes a hint of purple.I have 6000k D1S's in my headlights and 6000k HID kit in my fogs. The pic in my sig was taken with an iphone so that's why they look yellow. If you look at the pic below taken with a dig you could see they are white.

Thank you! That helped alot. Do you know what intensity MB uses in their cars is by any chance? I think Hella makes them, but I don't know what the intensity is. Just wondering. Thanks

Cannot see where the ballasts are hidden and all the wiring is done professionally. Let me see if i can post some pictures. They are a HUGE difference between the regular lighting that comes with the car and the Xenons.
x-tian- I am looking to do the same retrofit you did for my headlamps. Can you please provide me with some details so I can get a local guy to do it for me as well. I was lucky that the new 2011's w/P1 come with the LED Hockey Sticks standard. Unfortonatly, my headlights are warmer in color temperture and thus it looks a litte funky (IMO) with the LED's on (LED's - white, Standard Headlamp - warm/yellowish). Thanks for the help.

Go with 6000k bulbs. Those are the most white and will not sacrifice candle power.

That kinda sucks for us 2010 owners because I love the hockey stick DRLs... As for the details of my HiD kit. It's pretty much standard kit with 6000k bulbs. Jut make sure they put resistors in parallel so it doesn't throw a failure code to the computer. That's pretty much it

May you define candle power? Is that like, the light that's actually being emitted by the bulb? Thanks

Candle power is the unit of measuring the light emitted from the xenon gas.

Oh well, you live and you learn. I know I find that out for myself every day!

K-A,

Same here bro... I got a sick deal on my E so I decided to take it. If I had the patience and the deal I got, I would have gotten pano, P2, and accessories (rear spoiler... only 300 dollar option)....

Ohh by the way, you could have applied your logic above with the purchase of your rear spoiler recently right? heheheeh j/p

Bobbert,

Here are my lights at 3am in the morning with my iphone 4... I hope they came out ok...

Oohh remember, because we have projector style head light assemblies, the light projects through those and not the entire headlight assemblies. The pictures dont do it justice....

Hahaha, agreed.

Actually I was so pissed my car didn't have a Spoiler on it (only thing that it didn't have that I really was willing to pay for), I mean for $300 extra, c'mon!!

I kept trying to leverage the Dealer to throw it in, but no cigar.

Not sure if you heard a company in NJ specializes custom fabrication of automotive headlights.

Anyway, I read some really good reviews about their HID lights and company off the BMW forum. I know this company is also a sponsor of that site, but I am afraid it may violate forum rules if I reveal any info about this company at this moment...

More info later or via PM atm!

I am just playing safe here because I really dont know. It better ask before it's too late if you know what I mean. So, in any case, just dont shoot the messenger.

I'm not affiliated with this seller nor have dealt with this company personally. Anyway, Here is the link of the light company.
