I think this is a good deal. Most MBs MSRPs are marked up about $4K from invoice, so you will be at or below invoice on that E550.

I am in Houston and got $7000 off MSRP of an E350 at MSRP OF $58k. I think you should get at least $7500 off yours.

I think you'll find different prices no matter where you go.......and factor
in how gullible you are too.......not you.........the collective "you".......

Sounds like a fair deal. Discount is similar to what I got in April on my 2011 pre-order E550.

I think you can get $61K, I priced your opitions out and invoice is $62,800 and there is a $2K incentive but I'm not sure if you are eligible for it I get it from my credit union, you might be able to qualify some other way. I know you can sign up for my credit union if you wanted to, its called USAA, they're pretty big you should check it out. Oh and I priced it from San Antonio, TX zip code.

when I was doing my research before buying my 2010 E350, a lot of people were getting 10% off MSRP on Edmunds for the 2011 E550's. Also try www.truecar.com they are pretty accurate when it comes to gauging what the right price to pay is since they use actual sales data from different dealers in the surrounding area from your zip code.

This a great site! I input my options for my 2011 E550 which was delivered in July, 2010 and it yielded the following:

STICKER PRICE: $71,625
BEST LOCAL PRICE: SEARCHING... $67,074 YOU SAVE $4,551 (6%)

My actual sticker was $71,740 because it included the U80 115V AC power outlet for $115 which a no longer an option.

My out the door price was a bit less and included the 3-year maint package and a trunk mat.

YMMV

Yes and being a car fanatic, I have found that site to be more accurate with their invoice and MSRP prices than Edmunds is. It is a hidden gem for now.

After checking your numbers, it looks like you are getting approximately $465 below dealer invoice. Are you getting a Credit Union or USAA discount? Otherwise, your deal is great for Texas. I am also looking for a 2011 E550 Sport Sedan and the absolute best deal I can find in Houston is $500 over invoice making your deal almost $1000 better than mine. Would really appreciate it if you would let me know what dealer you are working with. Thanks!

You can do better. The best way to get a low price on a new car is email every dealer in your area with your requirements. Make them compete against each other.

You know what you want and you now know what price to start at. Shoot for somewhere between 5 and 10k off MSRP.

You could even go outside your 50mi radius and call/email dealers nationwide. It will only cost them $500 to ship you a car. I bought an SL63 from Ohio instead of Chicago because their price was thousands less than my local dealers.

Good luck and remember the folks buying brand new 70k cars are far more scarce than they were just 2 or 3 years ago. You have the upper hand!
