Been lurking for a while, just thought I'd post a pic. Picked this up last week!

Congrats! Nicely setup with those styled wheels, spoiler, and tints.

DHI Nov 27, 2010 06:34 PM

Congratulations!
Isn't the power awesome?

Tjdehya Nov 27, 2010 07:41 PM

Very nice, did you pick it up and drive straight to the tint shop?
Enjoy the new ride.

park423 Nov 27, 2010 07:52 PM

very nice, love the new wheels...what kind of tint do you have %?

PGT Nov 27, 2010 07:56 PM

No they dealer sent it out to the tint shop and body shop for the spoiler for us. It delayed delivery by a couple days, and when I did receive the car it was quite dirty (and the leather in back seat has an irreparable scratch), but I didn't want to wait an extra day for them to detail it again.

Are those the standard wheels you get on the AMG Sport option?

Congratulations very nice looking.

Does it have power tilt in mirrors, did you manual turned it in or is it just the angle?

Sweet ride!!! Looks great. Congratulations!!! Watch out for speeding tickets. :D

No power tilt mirrors on the E.

The 5-spoke are nice indeed but they cost more than $1K each so don't bent them by ruining a tire over a pothole...

GuyFawkes, do you know if the rear spoiler needs to have holes drilled to be secured? Or, in other words, once you have one installed you cannot remove it ever unless by doing body work? I must admit I like it so I may add one...

And if you want to remove your star visor I recommend DFWdude's one (as you can see on my hi-res pix at https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...-thread-4.html).

Enjoy.

Those are expensive wheels! I live in pothole central in MN and always buy a set of winter wheels for those darn holes!

SKYKING44 Nov 28, 2010 12:39 PM

Great looking car, congratulations.
What brand and model tires came on your sport wheels?
Thanks.

PGT Nov 28, 2010 06:59 PM

I'm actually not sure about the spoiler, they sent it to the body shop to paint and install before delivery.

I have the folding mirrors setting on so that whenever you lock the car they automatically fold in. Pretty good feature I think!

K-A Nov 29, 2010 06:36 AM

I thought the W212 didn't have power folding mirrors? :nix:

Maybe he's is Canada. Us Americans don't get heated steering wheel, folding mirrors or rear seat climate control. Those are three of the things I know, I am sure the list might be longer. It seems that if you want a "real" Mercedes E-class you might have to buy the car anywhere but in the good old USA.

There is no rear seat climate control in the US models??? You've got to be kidding....
