My car locks work with standard jeans on so it should cover pretty much all normal clother we wear.

funny enough, i have this feature on my W211 but it didn't work on the W212. I thought it was disabled. so, what am i doing wrong?

Actually, if u get into the red rev zones, the transmission will upshift to prevent damage. it just holds the gear for as looooooong as possible. still, pretty cool tho. ensures u have lots of power available everytime until u put it back in 'D' by holding the right paddle shifter.

A "not so cool" feature I found, you actually CAN lock your keys in the car (P2) with the key fob in the car. I always heard you couldn't, but discovered that if you leave the fob in the car, close the trunk from trunk/lock button in the trunk (part of P2), it will lock all doors. I typically don't take my keys out of my pocket and place them in the car, so I am lucky I had a spare key in my office. Whew...

Opening hood
The springs open the hood to a normal inclined position, if you push the hood it will open further to an almost vertical position. Makes it a lot easier to access things at the back of the engine.

When backing up slowly into a parking spot, if I open my door, the car brakes and goes into Park instantly. Caught me by surprise. But not on my buddies'2010 model e350. Is it on yours?

Yup, mine does that , it grinds into halt if I open the driver's door when backing up slowly .

When the car starts to oversteer while you are dialing in some countersteer. ESP will kick back in and your seatbelt will tighten up immediately as if you are about to crash.
I found that out during some fun canyon carving action.

Reset PCM.
1. Sit on the driver's seat and close the door.
2. While keeping your feet off the pedals Turn key to position 2 (or press the start button twice on P2 cars). DO NOT start the car.
3. Floor the gas pedal and hold it in for 10 seconds.
4. While holding the gas pedal in turn key to position 1 (or press the start button once on P2 cars).
5. Release gas pedal and wait 2 minutes. Do not open door, just wait. Time it!
The actual time in my car is about 1 min 45 seconds. I know this as the speedo cluster lights up.
6. Turn key off.
7. You have just done the PCM reset. Go drive and you will see what it does.

Don't know if this has already been mentioned, but for Pre-2013 w212s, at the back of the trunk there is a secret storage. Just lift up the trunk cover(the one where u access your wheel), there should be a small hidden space that you can put things there. Underneath that is the spare wheel. I just put jumper cables there and it fits perfectly and out of sight.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is PCM you are resetting?

It is Powertrain Control Module, PCM.
These cars, at least 2010 and 2011 models, have a "smart" transmission that learns your driving habits. As I drive a lot on highways my car learns me as a grandma very quickly and becomes very "unsporty" to drive. With this reset it returns car behavior back to a sports car.

Driver's side only in the US too
Is it just mine, or does the rear cabin for your W212's also only have 1 climate control zone. I could have sworn the generation before had 2 rear climate zones.
ALSO, did USA get the option for the dynamic contour/massage seat for the passenger side? Because in Canada you can only get it for the driver seat.

Hard to blame Mercedes-Benz for that when our idiot politicians monkey with the dates for the change between standard and daylight savings time.
