Rim Remount, surprising

I had this set of Lowenharts made for my 04 E55 AMG, I pulled them when I sold the car a few years ago, and had them for sale ever since.

They have been impossible to sell as no one could ever visualize what they would look like. Yesterday I called the shop to see if they would fit on the 2010 E350, we did a test fit, and they look better on this car then they did on the 55. Take a look! Still may sell them, but not in any rush to now.

For reference purposes, no one seems to be able to know what will fit these cars with offsets, tires, etc. So here is the info so someone can use it later. These offsets are for this width only.. (a 9' and 11' aftermarket) and is a perfect fitment.

Dimensions:

Front: 20x9 ET25
Rear: 20x11 ET32

Tires: Pirelli P-Zero Nero

Front: 245/30-ZR20
Rear: 285/25-ZR20

I think they look great keep them on, or at least model them on that car, they will appeal to a much broader audience. :y

Wait, are you serious?
Those aggressive width and offset fit without rubbing?

At stock height no rubbing at all, we did a comression test (pics with rim under) and speedbump test and no issues what so ever. Turn radious is fine also. I was really surprised. Plenty of room to spare.

I have the same size wheels and tires on mine, and it's lowered (2.5" rim to fender clearance in the front and 2.75" in the back), no rubbing over driveways, or speed bumps, no drifting/pulling either (we did install the MB camber bolts), the ride and handling is significantly improved for my taste.

FTB

I have room if I wanted to go lower.

Do you have a pic of it lowered?

Would you mind elaborating on the MB camber bolts?

I agree, the thoughts on offset for this car are all over the place. I have been told the W212 has to have a higher offset than the W211, between ET42-55 and others are saying ET35 will be fine. I think this pretty much proves that low to mid 30 offset will work just fine.

I had a pretty experienced shop lower and install the wheels here in NorCal, I went through an exercise of lowering the car in 3 steps to ensure I got the ride and height where I wanted it (and tried to avoid any potential issues). After I lowered it it had a slight drift to the right (which I definitely didn't like), one of the challenges is when you do the work there are some difficulties associated with getting the alignment where you want it. I had read a few threads in the W212 AMG forum that people there were using camber bolts (you can probably find them with a search) to improve the range of alignment so I discussed it with the shop and that used them many times on Mercedes (there is even an MB part number for them which I don't know).

Here is a thread from another forum

Thanks, I think I will hang on to them. I do like them. I think the car needs to drop some though. Yours is tight :)

Fromthebeginnin?

What wheels do you have, they look great also. More importantly can you post the wheel sizes, offset and tire size please?

Mambodave, nice looking car too. Cant believe you were able to get 20x11s with those offsets but its great to hear as that opens a whole bunch of options for us now.
