I don't notice the stockers enough to bother me right now I guess, but if I ever come around some of those pins physically somewhere, I'd probably grab some for the hell of it.

I thought I'd read that cars (or M-B at least) moved to the current pins (over the previous golf-tee's) due to safety reasons. I have no idea what that's about though.
Yes they have brushed aluminum - The ones I saw where almost exact replacements (shape wise) than the OEM plastic ones.

Wow that looks nice. I wish I had the guts to do this. Anyone get a quote from the dealer for install?

Ashtray Storage Retrofit

Read the "ashtray storage retrofit" in your signature line. Ran a search with no results. Can you post or share what you did, pictures, etc....

Took off the top part of the ashtray, cut a piece of felt for the bottom of the tray (adhere with 2 way tape), went to Pep Boys and bought a strip of 1/8" chrome molding (14.99) cut it to size. Bingo. Good for holding phones, coins and such.

Looks like a great modification and fairly easy to do. I may try that next weekend. Thanks for the pictures.

I just wanted to give an "attaboy" and recomendation to Speed Racer (ebay seller). I had a minor issue with one of my pins and he sent me 2 replacements at no charge from Asia. Good trusted seller and fast shipper. Thanks!
