I can't stop staring at the headliner... it looks so nice I want to eat it lol.
I also like those door lock nubs, are those part of Designo or are they aftermarket.
And yes I'm also Chinese, I have seen many of those ornaments in cars at Chinese malls in Canada haha.

I think MB should make this option standard at least for E550 and E63.
FYI, those AMG door pins are genuine accessories for E class.

Hey I remember seeing your car on the street before. Nice and clean E-sedan and the personalized plate caught my attention. I'm pretty sure the Designo interior is superb! Gotta love the finish of that leather!

Alright, Designo interiors are finally available in the U.S. now as well!
Question for you: In some of the Designo configurators, it looks like the glove box and other parts of the front interior might be done in Alcantara as well. Am I imagining that?

It is not my case.

Ok, thanks. What's your take on the feel of the Designo leather vs. regular leather? I'm considering going with the Black Designo leather, even though I kind of hate the white piping, because (a) it is allegedly softer / nicer than ordinary leather, and (b) it's the only way to get the alcantara headliner in the U.S. But, I imagine it's an additional $3-4K, so it better be worth it -- particularly since I think the stitching on the regular leather looks way, way nicer than that white piping they put on the Designo seats. :-)

I see you've got the pano roof with the Alcantara. How does this work: When you close the sunroof entirely (i.e., both shut and cover the glass) does it close with that mesh fabric that comes on a standard car, or is it a solid panel with alcantara fabric?

SDMF, do you have a heated steering wheel with the four-spoke wood/leather configuration? If so, what's the option code? I couldn't find it on MBUSA so that I may 'tick' it in my build.

ghaffar: SDMF can comment as well, but it's my understanding that heated wheel is *not* available in combination with wood/leather wheel on the E. If you get designo, you'll get the wood wheel as part of the package price. Y95 should get you the designo-matched wood wheel, and 443 is heated steering wheel. Note that the heated wheel requires a one-time $250 special order fee. "One-time" meaning you can add the one or two additional special order options without having to pay the fee more than once.

No, heated steering wheel function is not compatible with the wood leather steering wheel.
