ok...i read elsewhere this just puts it in engineering mode to find out what firmware you running in COMAND.

Well as I was driving down the road, I slapped in a DVD and then went to push all 3 buttons. Well, I had to use both hands so I ended up running into the curb which flattened both front tires. Good thing though, I was able to watch 2 seconds of my movie before I hit the curb. lol. Just kidding!! It's the engineering mode with all the specs, settings, information, etc..

Hell I used to have the euro Nav in my 02 E se,,,and that was the only way I knew back when to have TV in motion,,of course I had that madman MbnzNl do the work,,was awesome as the kids where able to play Playstation in the headrests thingys,,

I find that when I am watching a 3-D movie while driving, the 3-D glasses have a lot of glare from the instrument panel at night time. Anyone else experience this while driving? I hope not.

The big bonus to you Distronic drivers is that you can just zone into the movie and let the car do all the driving.
(Hmm, maybe I shouldn't give them any ideas, I mean, we ARE talking about a Thread where people are seriously considering watching TV inside a moving car which they are piloting)....

After having it for a year or so, the only thing I really use the VIM for is the ability to operate the nav system while driving. IMO, it worth the price for that function alone.
