Anybody know how much trunk money Mercedes has on the '11 W212's. Wondering how much of a discount I can get with the conquest money thrown in. TIA

Thanks for the reply. I had looked at that prior to posting and the $1500 doesn't square with the reported $10K discounts that I have read on this board.

The 10K discounts included either the USAA benefit or mercedes Conquest cash...both of which (and may still be) $4000 for the 2011's. There is another benefit if you've financed with mercedes before ($1500?).

You have to qualify for any of the above....so edmunds doesn't list them. You can't combine USAA and conquest discounts.

The other unknown is that all the $10K discount deals I saw came from southern california...so there may have been (or still is) some local money available.

I got $7500 off in August with conquest money....that seems to be about what others have been getting.

Conquest program stands alone and cannot be combined with MBF loyalty cash.

Went in Autobahn Mottors yesterday. The dealership looks completely dead, they have 5 2011 E350 P1 only, no one E550. No price negotiation, all prices stated upront just couple $K below MSRP. No sales activites at all, so I guess I need to look for other make. Although they expect 4 E550 in next two weeks. I hoped to compare new E350 12 engine with E550 stock engine, but no luck.

Maybe you should try a different dealer.

Some dealers decide to be "boutique" dealers and they would prefer to sell cars with only a very small discount...perhaps providing local service, etc. Other dealers want to sell more cars, are more aggressive because they realize that there is almost more profit in service than in sales. Each dealer decides how they want to run their business.

I agree with others who have suggested finding a different mercedes dealer, perhaps a little farther from your home who is more interested in selling you a car.

Don't bother. The 2012 V6 is absolutely no comparison or contest with either the outgoing or incoming 550.

It looks like, so I just post as you suggested. The dealership has very lucky location, people from hills never look at sticker, they just sign check and give it to a person who will take them a car allowing them to put actual price.

How about $10,200 off?

(Click on this thread for my deal)

Do your homework. Come prepared. Walk out if you don't get a HUGE discount off of a 2011, other wise I agree with a previous comment to just buy a 2012.

You are lucky that dealership was willing to drop prices....I went last week to Fletcher Jones MB dealer here on Oahu...they are the exclusive dealer in the entire State. The sales rep told me no discounts at all....no bartering....EVERYONE pays the sticker MSRP price. This is the only dealer I know that does NOT allow for negotiating.

Thats what I am trying to do.Your claim of a $10200 reduction would suggest that there was more than a $1500 incentive on the '11 as identified by Edmunds.

The only "incentive" was the $4,000 conquest bonus for trading in my cadillac. The rest of the reduction was due to research and forcing the dealer down to curren market value of their vehicle. Edmunds.com is a great place to start to determine the "true market value" of your purchase.

Soooo, my deal was $4K Mercedes offering and $6K of me kicking them in the side to reduce the price.

Trading in your car may be the key of that low price. I have no idea how much they gave you, but I'm sure that was very low ....

Really? You're sure huh?

They did give me slightly lower than I wanted, but it was inline with what the BMW and Audi dealerships were offering.

Was that a 350 or 550 you were able to get 8-9k off on?
