Thanks... i'm going to my friend's shop tomorrow to use his lift. it looks pretty simple, but my friend also has lots of experience with this kinda stuff, so it should be a breeze

Can't wait to see the finished pics. Now you wouldn't have to take it to the dealer sor any alignment would you? I was told that.

BenzoBoi Dec 2, 2011 03:45 PM

Very nice! Can't wait to hear your impressions on them! I have the V2's on my 211 and they are absolutely fantastic! :zoom: :y

Its a cake walk. Takes about 1.5 hours from start to finish. The ride quality is so much better then stock. Now the car finally feels like its back on the ground and not driving on a cloud :y

Make sure you post some pics

what's inside that Tool Kit box in the 2nd picture? When I got my set earlier this year, the tool kit was in a white kw envelope.

btw you'll love it! i have zero complaints so far

Sorry for a "stupid" question but what is this kit going to do? Does it give even stiffer sports suspension than what it already is as the packing shows a race car?

Just some fancy packaging for the coil over wrenches :word:

I would like to know also?! Does it lower the car lower than the sport trim and does it make it ride even stiffer than the stock sport suspension? Curious (ignorant) minds want to know.

Before and after

Ctrl+alt+Elite Dec 5, 2011 06:56 AM

Here's what I think....

1. the KW fit in perfectly, no mods needed at all except snipping off a little piece of the plastic bracket that hold the brake line so it would properly mount to the front strut.

2. removing all the rear interior was the biggest pain in the butt when it came to doing the rear, getting the little plastic snaps out was the hardest part.

3. it takes a little bit longer than the 1.5-2 hours other members mentioned. I've lowered plenty of cars and trucks, including hydro installs in the early 90's and airbags in my 85 C10 just recently, so I'm not a newbie to this.

4. the ride is great, i love how it is more responsive than it ever was. This must be what a Benz should drive like. The ride is not rough by any means, it is still quite smooth and very quiet, but it corners like its on rails.

5. I realy love the custom adjustments that I can make, since when i started looking to lower, the springs I was finding didnt have the measurements I was looking for

6. in the final 'after' pic (on grass) the car has already started to settle a bit. All that remains is to get an alignment as the coilovers did give me a bit of camber on all corners.

7. overall, i think this is a great product, very reasonably priced and i would recommend it to anyone who asked. I can hook you up with the guy I spoke to at KW if you are interested (just PM me)

8. make sure you have the correct tools LOL Mercedes had some strange hardware down there and it sent me on a couple runs to Sears

looks nice, congrats

Looking good =)

Ride height is just perfect!! Sits where my 550 sits when parked in sport.

Ctrl+alt+Elite Dec 5, 2011 05:19 PM

Thanks guys, I really like it too. I am debating lower, we'll see what happens tomorrow after i get aligned and the camber gets adjusted

i'm assuming you mean on the spring adjustment, i set it up halfway to start with. Havent made any rear adjustments since the install. I lowered the front a smidge more last night

You kid went lower then mine in the rear. I did 6 rotations ( from being slammed ) on front and maxed out the rear pitches. Sits just tucking tire in rear. Seems as if yours will go lower :y
