Please give me your opinion on the V8 biturbo badge
I ordered the V8 biturbo badge to replace the "Blue efficiency" badge. But when I held it up under the "Blue" badge it didn't look so bad IMO. So I'm asking for your opinion. Should I leave the "Blue" badge and put the V8 biturbo underneath or just swap the blue out?
Thanks,
e

What the heck is "blue efficiency" anyway? Sounds like some lame attempt at appeasing the environmental types. "Yes, we're a car company that builds V8s with 500hp, but we love the environment too."

Found out something interesting: I made a template around the "Blue" badge so I'd know where to replace with the "V8biturbo" Badge. When I compared it to the other side, I could see that the "Blue" badges werent even close to being symmetrically placed. The latitude, longetude, and the angles were different. I think they just eyeball it.

Both would have definitely looked terrible, way too cluttered, and distracting.
The "Blueefficiency" badge is SO lame, and the last thing the car needs is a piece of blue and chrome badging in that otherwise nice fender area. I can't believe that M-B wouldn't quality-control the "Blue" badges and symmetrically place them!
I think that it would look much better without any of the badges, but the V8 Biturbo beats the "Blue" badge. And you aren't posing, as the motor indeed is a V8 Biturbo.

I think the badge looks awkward. Not quite as bad as an STP decal, or "Sunoco-The Official Fuel of NASCAR" sticker would look, but, close. That said, since I am not making your car payments, you should not listen to me and should do whatever makes you feel good.

About on par with this badge...
V6 HETERO NA
I guess the inference would be that it is almost the engine in the 2012 AMG 63's or the older AMG 55's, but it looks like it is trying too hard and not quite there. Aside from that, it is too much side lettering to look clean, but admittedly I prefer fewer badges to added unnecessary badges, reminding me of the song from the 5 Man Electric Band...Sign, sign, everywhere a sign.

I'm all for a clean look. No badges for me. That is why I debadged my GL. However it's a different story on the 63 AMG. There I'm still contemplating if I should debadge it. For now I haven't...

I removed the "Blue Efficiency" badges from my Bluetec and wasn't tempted even for a minute to replace them with "V8 Bi-turbo" badges.Or any other kind of badge for that matter.

LOLLLL.
BTW, regarding the "Hippie" comment of that very Blue Efficiency badge, looks like M-B themselves beat everybody to the punch.

I think it looks good. All the AMG's have something written there on the side, and I think it looks nice. Breaks up the plainness on the side of the car, that is after the chrome side trim is removed down below. Car looks nice with the spacers also. The only thing, the badges should be just a little higher, and on an angle following the body line like on the amg's.

One tip: All the letters were separated and I didn't want to have to stick each one on individually. So I got some clear packaging tape and put 4 strips one on top of another to make it rigid. Then I taped that OVER the letters. I then removed the backing and all the letters stayed fast on the shipping tape. I could see exactly where and how they were going on the car all as one piece. I appleed pressure to fix them to the car and removed the shipping tape.
