Snow melts unevenly because it melts where it is warmest first. That is a function of the thickness of the hood (thinner -- as in in between support structure -- melts first) and proximity to the warmest bits (right over the engine). Looks very weird, but when you open the hood and look up, you see the exact same pattern. |
