Angry Sunroof issue

I have a 2011 E350 and apparently the sunroof slide is stuck. I cannot manually slide it back to enjoy the moonroof. If I open the roof it will move and if I tilt it the roof does raise. It appears that it is off track. What is the best way to fix it ?

Are you writing about the glass roof itself, or the sunshade underneath?

one thing is important for sunroof that it must be cleaned and lubricated on monthly basis otherwise it will stuck whenever open/close it.

some workshop specialized in sunroof they know the special lubricant spray but after cleaning in order to avoid of sludges/dusts contaminants after lubrication

My dentist says I should floss my teeth twice every day. I don't do that, either. (Only dentists and dental assistants floss twice a day.)

The sunroof in my 2001 C320 is now 19 years old. I've cleaned and lubed it ONCE. Still works great.

It probably could use more attention. But so could my garage door and opener. That technician says my garage door mechanism needs service twice a year. Like that's gonna happen, too.

I asked my question in post #2, because if the issue is the manually operated sunshade (under the glass roof)... I have found that the decorative cloth covering of the sunshade is glued in place. This glue dries out over time, becoming brittle, then failing completely. On my 2001 C-Class, the slide cover became detached at the corners, making it difficult to push the sunshade to the rear, or forwards.

Eventually, the adhesive fails throughout, creating unsightly bubbles in the cloth that hangs down, also interfering with sunshade operation. Today, my sunshade misses its cloth cover entirely. (But the glass roof above still functions fine.)

Since OP says his car is a 2011 model, I suspect he might be seeing the start of this.
