Hey all. Newbie here (first post) but love this thread as I'm looking to mod by 2010 W212 E550, Have had it for about a year and a half and have loved driving it..but it's time. I'll continue to follow this thread and see how you do with your mods SoCalCLK, but if anyone wants to throw some suggestions/recommendations my way, please do so. My first priority is to get a performance exhaust upgrade, something to add some HP and give the engine more of a growl.....

Congrats, you can try Carlsson kits, they don't void warranty according to my dealer . I would like to have PCM Tuning or race chips but these will cancel the warranty .

Send a PM to DCT Motorsports (i think they're a sponsor here). I really like the Carlsson rear spoiler and was having a hard time finding one. Sounds like DCT can get it and the price is good.

Ryden88, don't know if I noticed this before, but your wheels look kinda cool from that angle... Interesting...very very interesting...

Hehe. It's hard to resist the dark side. Changing the lug bolts next. And the window trim.

No one's powder coated those five spokers that you have yet...as far as i know. Or are you thinking of going bigger?

It looks like you nailed the fitment and stance already (looks awesome!), but for reference:
20x8.5 / 37 / 245.30.20 (square)
20x10/ 42 / 285/275.30.20 (275's on order) (stretched)
[had 20.25.20s (r) on the Works. Bent the Works after a year. Forged monos are much stronger/lighter. the 30 series on rear feel great and look fine]
Star diagnotics drop. recently lowered the front more after going from 20x9 to 20x8.5. Ride quality = awesome. (front will rub at mid angle/moderate speed on dips on sport setting. no fender mods.)

TY so much. I'm trying to gather as much info as i can for my possible 20's upgrade.I want to keep it pretty tight to my current stance right now.

I'm lowered with lowering links, nobody around my area does STAR. On my links, no matter how much i adjust it, my right is 1/4 lower then my left (front and back). I think STAR would hopefully solve that issue. (if i can find someone)

Nah...gotta keep it basic right now since wifey drives it the most. I try to keep her pampered, you know... As for me, likely shooting for that Biturbo 4.6L/402hp V-8 one day! Then we'll talk!

Nice ride, Yosheego. The W212 (like most cars) looks so much better lowered on the right set of rims.

It's too bad you aren't closer to Southern California. There's a couple tuners out here that can lower the car via STAR for $300-400. I'm debating going that route or going with the Renntech V3 Lowering Module. Either way, it's going to be my first mod, followed by exhaust.

Ty! Yeh it's too bad I'm not there where you are. I thought about the Renntech, but I figured I didn't want to tinker too much with the cutting and stuff with the module. If I had an option, I prefer the STAR route. Easy and fast, only bad thing is you wouldn't be able to adjust the height on the fly like the module. hehe

YOSHEEGO, My car sat a little lower on the right side also, drove me nuts. Had it to the dealer and the robots told me it was within tolerence??? So after I got My new 20's I went and purchased the renntech v3, very happy with it. I can adjust each corner seperate to what I want, and set the speed I want to go back to stock height(for on the highway, set mine at 65mph). Its a little more expensive then links, but I think its worth it. Its easy to install, no cutting of factory equipment so it can't be detected. The Star is nice also, but if you want to readjust, you have to spend more money every time you go back to the person with the star equipment. I can just sit in my driveway on my computer and adjust whenever I want. Renntech also gives you a bypass so you can plug it into the module when you take it to the dealer and the factory settings are all there and the module won't show up. Just figured I would give you some info on it.

Okay, I pulled the trigger on the RennTECH V3 lowering module. I got it installed at an authorized Renntech dealer in Southern Cal. It's everything its advertised to be and is simple to use and adjust.

Attached are some pics from today at what I call my "Mild" setting. -.75" in front and -.70" in the rear. RennTech setting is -.85" in front and -.75" in rear.

It's a sweet lowering module, and super easy to tune. Next up are Brabus Exhaust and wheels.

couple dumb questions, from the renntech tune you said you got +20HP/+14Tq, why did you pick them over say Eurocharged who posts +24/+26? Im debating which tune to put on mine. And can you post a pic of the V3 lowering module controls? Thanks

Your last pic reminds me of why I love the W212's form so much. Show me one car that has a sturdier, more imposing yet restrained, and straight hard-carved stance.
