No, I went to a shop. I'm not remotely close to having the skills to do it myself, not to mention that it also requires a lot of tools that I don't have.
Bilstein comes with 2 year warranty thru the aithorized shop, i would imagine the same applies in the US, so I think u shouldn't try to do it ur self either.

i prefer the center console mounted shifter over the mini-van style pull bar. however, in the 2012 E200/E260 model, mercedes changed shifter to mini-van style... because they have upgraded the gearbox from 5G to 7G. mine is 5G. altho i've heard the 7G is much smoother than 5G, i like the gear change hault on E200 more, because it has turbo. 7G would go much better with V6 or V8.

sport pkg is not available in china, nor is E63 AMG.
E in china comes in 2 exterior lines: elegance and avantgarde (same as euro spec)
elegance has chrome decorative lines on the bottom of the front bumper, while the avantgarde has a more aggressive (but not as agressive as sport pkg) front bumper bottom.
the first one is elegance:
this second one is avantagarde:

Do you feel the ride too stiff on the Bilstein shocks? Probably not an issue to you since most city roads in China are smooth. I'm in LA where cracked surface and potholes are everywhere, so when I lower mine I will probably go with springs only and keep the stock shocks due to that.
Btw, love the shifter in the center console. It drives me nuts that MB decided to put the pull lever on their sedans.

are you kidding me? china is an undeveloped country, despite how many skyscrapers they're showing on tv... roads here have no mercy. good thing this car is not my daily beater so ah the trade offs.....

china has banned shipping used cars into china since july 2010. even they didn't, you would have to pay import tax and it would cost a lot more than changing the E63 AMG body kit and upgrading the rims.
with this thing, i do better fuel economy than a lot of mid size cars on the road. i will get CLS63 or something of similar level when it's time for me to move back to the states...

where i am the road condition isn't the greatest, but car runs alright so far. it has a pretty low (well, lower than i expected) stance coz now my front two wheels have a 2-finger gap left only. i wonder if anyone has the same setup on theirs so i can do a quick comparison if this is normal...
