After washing my car, I was about to dry it until I heard beeping noise under the engine near the front grill. Do you guys know what that is? It kept beeping every 10 seconds for about 7-10 minutes. This was my first time hearing this. It was really annoying. I've had this car for a good 3 months now.

It could be normal testing that occurs every now and then. My S and GL both make weird noises even when the engine has been off for a while. The cars just test components every once in a while randomly...

Are you doing anything that might motivate someone to track you via GPS? Maybe their batteries are running low...

No, maybe it's the computer or something that is making the noise.

Are you married/divorced, I'm thinking an ex has gps on your car to track all your moves....lol On a serious note, it probably is the computer running diagnostics throughout the vehicle.

It is the smoke detector indicating that the batteries are weak....

Perhaps you got excessive water in there and caused either the horn or alarm system to have an intermittent circuit completion until it dried??

Unlikely, since I believe there should be no exposed wire ends or connectors, but ya' never know.

I heard that on my car since the first day. I thought it was Tinnitus... then I realized it was coming from the car, but these cars are so fancy; if something was really wrong, it would actually tell me, so I stopped caring!

LOLOLOL. I'm in my early 20's and single. It was the first time I ever heard it. Maybe I'll stop by my local MB dealership and ask them what's up. Hopefully nothing serious.

i dont have any beeping noises but i do get some popping sounds right after i shut off the engine
