I've been using my amex plat heavily for work charges lately, so i have a revolving monthly limit of 60k, which must be paid in full at the end of each month. Although amex works with me on that end, as i always pay my bills, im still young and have a short credit history, so bank/lenders arent as easy to work with. That being said, ive had to go through 4 different phone "reviews" of my finances with amex so far to keep them happy and trusting my ability to re-pay
Ahhh, but what we do to achieve the "finer things in life" (been there done that! 
) Nonetheless, enjoy your new E! You've rekindled my yearning for the 550!

I completely understand your situation. It's frustrating to be young and well-managed. I've been there. It's as if being 26 violates all their computer models. All I can say is dont give in. When I bought my first non-consign car, they tried to force me to have my parents cosign I said I'd bring the car back. Magically they decided they didn't need it. I haven't looked back.
Re your parents: Dude, you're 26. I know, I had parents who fostered dependence into my 20's, but it's time to tell your parents to accept you or not. It 's not easy to explain, but you you have to show them you are in control, even if they don't agree with the direction.

Yea I went in with 10 pre cleared on the card to use and told the dealer I'd pay the 3% fee Amex charges so they would let me put it in the card. But then the banks sucked and wanted 8 more so had to call and get a supervisor to push a payment through quick so I could toss 8 more on

parents usually don't want their children spend on something they don't "need", especially something expensive even their children could afford it comfortably. i totally agree w/it. so in order for you to tell your parents how a $54k car makes only a tiny small ding in your bank account, buy them a brand new e63

parents usually don't want their children spend on something they don't "need", especially something expensive even their children could afford it comfortably. i totally agree w/it. so in order for you to tell your parents how a $54k car makes only a tiny small ding in your bank account, buy them a brand new e63 !

my parents wouldnt know how to handle that much power. They also arent the most careful drivers out there...wouldnt trust them with a high value car lol.

Distronic is probabally the most amazing thing ever. Just drove clear access town on the freeway with it on and never touched the gas or brake. Kept me at the right distances and speeds the entire time.

well, i guess you are simply not as "talented" as most ladies . putting make-ups on while talking on the phone which is between her ear and shoulder. don't forget the starbucks coffee and change the radio stations all at the same time. ah, most important of all, they are too concentrating on their eyelashes and forget about the green lights, cars behind her honk and they still manage to roll down the window and put up one of their newly painted undried fingers just to show everybody how nice it looks and how talented they are .

My moms to big a hippie to drive anything that nice. She loves her subaru. My dads got the old Texan thing going and wants a pickup next lol. I'm the only one in the family who knows cars. Fashion. Or technology.

well i dont live at home so they dont see my car that often. And my dads out of town till tomorrow at a retreat. I'm hoping for a call back on a job interview this week, if im lucky i can get that in the bag, jack up my income, and then they cant nit pick about the prices anymore :p

used, 16k miles, got it for a rather good deal i think 54. They are throwing in the clear wrap, and were able to work with me putting my down payment on my amex, so 18k down turns into 90,000 amex points, which is either a $900 amex credit or a transfer into about 180,000 frequent flyer miles :P
16K miles, with OEM Warranty and CPO Warranty for a 2011 E550 is great. You can't go wrong with the 5.4L N/A engine!
