Love the color! Matte orange reminds me of the AMG CLS63 that was done. (like above) I've myself been busy vinyl wrapping a guinea pig lately (2012 Scion Tc), I would like to also have my car a matte color. (Hype, you beat me too it, haha)

haha, I don't know what you mean, but that's cool!
thanx!
that's great, you're doing it yourself? if so: hats off to you man because that is some tough work.....you'll have to share some pix yourself!
I'd have gotten some more up by now but I went out of town a few days and now it's raining from the hurricane.....
good luck with your project

Just saw this thread. Great job Hyperion! Looks really cool.
Here's my constructive criticism (not like you asked but I'll give it a go):
Do the headlamp washers in matte orange
I like your grille- just get a flat hood star. They're only $20 online.
If you go the route of blacking lights out, don't tint the headlights. I've always thought it looked so stupid. I'd much rather black out the INSIDE of the headlight (where the chrome parts are) which requires taking the lenses apart.
A tint on the tail lights would look cool though- maybe leave the white part white.
Does the film have a weave/ texture to it under certain lighting conditions? A tint shop did a 335i here in matte orange and due to the nature of the film used there was a mesh pattern embedded within the film that I didn't like at all. Wondering if your film has the same issues (features?).
I did matte smoke my turn signal lights, though, and that was simple enough. =]
Some friends and I matte black wrapped the trim on an S550 and that already took many hours. I wouldn't have the patience and expertise to wrap a whole car- so don't blame you for getting a pro to do it.

this was the first or second car the company did.......AND they tried to jack me on the price when it was done......they must have forgotten about the law here in NC about estimates.....
it is a nice job though.......looking from a distance, but I could see some people not being comapletely happy with it.....
I would try to dip it too.....if there was a dip shop somewhere close-by....something tells me there isn't though....
thanx again!
lol, Mickey has been long gone
I'm not opposed to trying it....

there is another thread talking about it. you don't even have to order online, you can get it from your local home depot .

yup. Home Depot has it. If you want the clear plasti dip, you have to order it. The rims on the Scion TC that i'm working on are plasti dip matte black.

I woudln't recommend dipping your whole car. Doing small things like badges and even wheels are okay but the poor quality shows for a whole panel. There's some threads out there on why not to dip a whole car.

hmmmmm........
having a stock grill repainted gloss.....and managed to find a used
hood badge: flat, getting some gloss too!
should look pretty good..........
and yes, I like that idea of NOT tinting headlights.....but am scared of
the 'crack open and repaint' idea too haha

That front end settup looks so much better, awesome.. I have to agree with one of the other posters, I think the washers should be wrapped also.. Oh yeah, (you heard this from me before, lol) Lower that sucker a little bit, it would just look straight up SICK. Renntech v3 module.
